Maybe I need to put my skates back on or something....

I know that feel AB. I have been more excited this season than previous ones but overall I am still in a 'meh' faze of hockey. Haven't caught all that many games honestly. You could probably could the amount on your hand. I am more excited for baseball! .... I don't know why either as my team (Jays) sucks worse than the Oilers.

Jays probably still aren't a playoff team, but they'll have a positive regression to the mean. They have to. Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong last year.

I agree. So, Blue Jays: 20+ year playoff drought.
:(

Its like the Oilers + Islanders + Panthers all mixed into one shitty team.

Yeah, but before that they won back to back world titles. They're not operating at Royals level futility. At least you're not a Mets fan.

Yeah, but I hate fans who reminisce on the twilight of their franchise. That isn't a progressive moving team/fan base. Thats why I get annoyed with Leafs fans and Habs fans, even Avs fans, who keep hold of their cups. I mean, enjoy it for the first few years but decades after? Common now.

I can't even make fun of the Mets. Their prospect pool makes me Jelly. :(

Syndergaurd
Wheeler
Harvey
d'Arnuad
Montero

I am mad Jelly.

How has Harvey's TJ gone? Hopefully he is still going to be okay. I think Wheeler also had an injury, no?

Harvey isn't doing so great. He lost his super-model girlfriend, who was a major status symbol if nothing else. I think he'll recover easily enough, for the better, but the tabloids are surely devoid of his mentions at the moment.

I haven't heard anything about the surgery. He does want to pitch this season but it's a pipe dream barring maybe a session or so at the tail end; guess he's impatient over having a hard time scoring with some of the other bigger name celebrities.

Wheeler is OK. Inverted M/W/W/M is apparently a disaster waiting to happen, but we have Jennry Mejia in the wings. So fuck it.

Varly chokes in big game situations. Facts support this analysis.

It'll be fun seeing who the playoff "warriors" for this team will be. I have my money on Lando, RoR, EJ, Varly, Talbot, Giggy and a dark horse player .... lets say Barrie/Duch/Macki

It's going to be MacKinnon.

Barrier of opportunity will always be cost. I don't think it's far fetched to suggest outdoor rinks, or something of that nature, as an alternative to drive expenses down but I can't see it getting much traction either.

I remembered that I was sitting on this in case the Suomi did anything:

Just want to point out these are casual fans. If they had real sisu, they'd get eye tattoos.
