O'Money!

WHY DO ALL THE GOOD PLAYERS I LIKE LEAVE? ! ? ! :'( Why couldn't it have been Duchene who wanted outties.
Loosing both RoR + Stastny in one offseason would hurt... hopefully if RoR is gone we can get someone like Josi from the Preds.

Or this is just a precautionary act to buy more time for negotiation, which is not surprising given the $6.5M QO thanks to the Flames' offer sheet. Too early to conclude anything.

Josi is pretty good and imo will be great, but O'Reilly is more valuable right now. A deal centered around Josi wouldn't be horrible though, and that's his point (if we had to trade RoR). We'd have to re-sign Stastny in that scenario to absorb the loss.

10/10. Would bang.

You think I am overshooting for a guy who would have led our dmen in scoring last year (40 pts) and is a young + controllable (24 yo) or thinking we can get Jones from the Preds instead? :P

Josi. Not even close. The only chance Kulikov has being better is if Josi gets knocked out / regresses due to injuries.

Josi and Josi.

Kulikov seems like he should be pretty good, but the more you see him, the more warts he shows. His overall projection is very sketchy; I don't know if it's just a matter of needing more development to reach his peak or if he's just not good enough in hockey IQ to match his ceiling.

So I'm not as high on him as I once was. Josi has a lot of hockey smarts and talent, it's just been a struggle for him staying healthy.

Sweet, so uh, NHL33 you want to call Roy or should I?

Hopefully we can keep RoR though.

I don't understand what the bleeding Dickens club-elected salary arbitration means

I hope it involves upgrading the quality of the ice girls

Love ROR as a player, but if he pulls this again, at some point the Avs have to wash their hands of it and trade him, because I'm almost positive they'd get a ton in return. McKenzie, Lebrun, and co. always mention O'Reilly and say teams covet the guy. They'd make out just fine.

His agent sounds like a real douche and confirms that O'Reilly is "a stubborn young man".

Would a guy like Larsson be enough to get it done for O'Reilly do you think or has he not come along enough to justify doing that deal straight up? I think he'd instantly step into the Top 4 and only improve with more minutes and experience. Devils broads don't seem to like how Deboer has been handling his development.

I don't think Larsson is a project so much as he's just getting dicked around in NJ, but I could see wanting more for ROR

I think Josi's the better player, I just don't think he has as much trade value around the league. Maybe I'm wrong. Publicity around contractual negotiations certainly can't help.

Haven't seen enough of Larsson to comment on him. Wary of him, but only based on a small sample size -- plus, as mentioned, his coaching has screwed him over, so it's not the best indicator.

.

Kind of a mute factor as Poile isn't going to move him. But if you think you guys are getting over 80 cents on the dollar for ROR now, you're mistaken.

Yeah, but we don't care about Preds fans here.
