I thought he was a cap/numbers guy?

I hope he figures out how to use draft picks better. That's all I can say for now.

I guess this means the Avs will never have a 2nd round draft pick again.

Sherman really taking it in the shorts here.

Meh on McLeod. Good signing on Stuart if he still has anything left in the tank.

I believe this means that Roy saw the Avs defensive prospects at camp, and didn't like what he saw. With the Stuart signing, anyway.

McLeod? *shrug* Doesn't matter much. He gives the Avs an average 4th line game, and he's pretty consistent at it. Makes me wonder how bad Bordeleau's injury is.

It looks damning as far as Elliott is concerned, which really wouldn't surprise anyone of us (despite being the ignorant louts we are), but on the other hand it took Roy a while to give Barrie a second chance after Barrie's horror show of a season start even though the defense was terrible and every corner needed to be turned. Soooo..... Zero sum.

I haven't watched any training camp games. Hejda worked out better than expected, so I'll assume for now Stuart's skating projects acceptably well; if so, it's an OK deal.

McLeod is (usually) NHL caliber. Nothing to say here except he needs to stick to forechecking well.

None of this matters. Let's see if Iginla can stay respectable and whatever the fuck they get back in return for O'Reilly when they inevitably trade him.

Looking like a 6-8 playoff team to me. Should be fun to watch them though.

I don't get that. Both Hejda and Stuart were UFA's after this year. Only one was likely back, if any, leaving a spot for a guy like Siemens next year.

Right. Siemens still has that spot next season.

I do wonder why Stuart over Hejda though. I'm not saying I disagree with it - just wondering why.
