The Canucks didn't deserve to lose that one, but I do question whether opposing teams burying their chances is a luck thing or a systems thing.

edit: LOOKS LIKE I POSTED IN THE WRONG THREAD!!!

After all this, they'll take Fleury or McCann or someone like that too

Althought you have to give credit where credit is due - they had something like a 1-2% chance of getting the 6th pick two weeks ago. Now they have, apparently, a 76.8% chance of drafting 6th, a 17% chance of drafting 7th, and a 6.2% chance of drafting 1st. That's impressive, and maybe the first glimmer of good luck they've had all year.

Would you rather have Carlyle or Torts?

Discuss.

Torts. Even though he didn't execute what he said he'd do, at least he can figure out what the issues are. At one point Carlyle flat out said he didn't know why they were playing so poorly.

He said that again this morning as well. It's an interesting comparison though, because the one thing they have in common is that after their current / most recent stints come to a close, neither of them will ever coach in the NHL again.

That's what they said about Keenan after his 3rd NHL job.

In other news, Canada loses to France in the World Hockey Championships. This was to be expected, due to the fact that the Canucks and the Leafs each have 3 players on the roster, more than any other NHL team.

It's probably because Cody Hodgson is playing centre.

If they get traded they'll either become stars or remain middling. Either way, Edmonton is blamed for wrecking the development of so many great prospects.

I have to say....I have enjoyed the schadenfreude, but I am even a little shocked at how bad they are. Tonight they lost their eleventh straight; they still are winless against the Western Conference. The Oilers are really exceeding my wildest expectations for how much tragic comedy they can provide. I mean they are practically eliminated from the playoffs on December 3. I thought they'd suck, but holy shit balls.

Guess which year MacTavish had the following post-season comment:

“[The season] was such a debacle from start to finish in so many ways that we are for sure going to better. It’s just a measure of how much.”

Was it:

1) 2013-2014, 29-44-9, 67pts, 203gf, 270ga?
2) 2014-2015, 24-44-14, 62pts, 198gf, 283ga?

Being 0-3 with a .935 save percentage is an achievement, of sorts.

Technically it means they've moved on from their defense problem. So good for them, I guess?

the rise and fall of
Mogilny to Bure
Image

Lucic Matthews Boeser
Baertchi Horvat Patrick
Sedin Sedin Virtanen
Etem Gaunce Hansen

Hutton Trammer
Stretchy Tanev
Edler Sbisa

O man can u imagine if mccann turned out like bergeron

Then add in Matthews Boeser and Horvat thats a lethal forward core for a decade

Ok so i had 3 dreams about the lottery last night

The first 2 we won The third one edmonton won and leafs got 2nd so we got 4th pick -'pretty disapointing

This is it this is it!!!!!

Just a few minutes people do u realize it!!!????

Get these clowns off the TV PLEASE!!! JUST START!!! AWWWWWWW

Minutes just minutes folks :)

Final Commercial People

Goodness enough commercials people i hate beer commercials

My hands is swetting people!!!! INTENSE INTENSE

Hands are wet people!!

Hands shaking now

jnjkldsank;lnadsklfgjdkl;asgkadsgjkl;agdklsg

This is so stupid how could this happen!!!>>>

I dont get this this is so dumb

I cant believe this how did this happen i hate this league

Cant stand this league this shouldnt of happend

Joke what a joke this is so unfair

Who cares any more what a joke

This is all just so unfair it shouldnt of happend like this ITS NOT FAIR

Yeah i guess but it was suppose to be this year doesnt make sense its just not fair i cant believe it :(

This the definition of unfair what happend we were suppose to get 1st :(

So disappointed in this league for doing this to us i cant get over this

We should of got 1st because of all the BS we had to go thru this year its not fair. Suppose to be Vancity #1 i just dont get it :(

Im fantastic at math this iis has noting to do with math tho this is just junk unfair BS :(

And considering Larkin was still available not sure how that idiot Benning chose party animal Virtanen at 6 :shakehead

Yep exactly not to mention all the trade deadline nothing happening that we had to deal with. Its just so unfair what happend today i cant believe it still this is a nightmare is
such a injustice

Worse cause Sedins are getting way older and will probs get around 40 pts each next year

Now its making sense why Demko really considered going UFA instead of going to this tire fire

I guess its time we start to accept this. Unfair unjustice not right basicaly everything WRONG happend today but i guess it is what it is now. I lost a lot of intrest in hockey
today this shouldnt of happend. I guess go Dubois hopefully somehow Benning grows a brain to take him if available

Anyways some of you are taking this really bad so Im gonna cool down and take a walk this is super frustating that so many fellow "canucks fans" are taking this so light what
happend today

Im telling u if Benning doesnt get Cagulera and sign Lucic this will be the lowest moment in my life as a hockey fan

Tkachuck - tough physical great junior season
Juol - smoothest dman so smart could be 1D for decades like Lidstrom
Brown - 6'7 centre with mad skill only getting better

Are these actual quotes? Or are you just typing like a 4th grader like it's some poetic justice that our hf fanbase is so retarded that we deserved to drop two spots in the draft?

He clearly has some sort of learning disability. He doesn't register even the most obvious irony/sarcasm/nuance/connotation/satire/humor/tongue-in-cheek.

Flames fire Hartley.

Considering the results he got compared to Desjardins, it's insane that Desjardins still has a job.
