Congrats! It'll be an adventure. Wife and I are getting serious about starting our family soon.

It's nerve-wracking to say the least, it is exciting but as it gets closer I feel less and less prepared. All I can say is just enjoy your time together as much as you can, because we know ours are about to completely change.

Hah. We were originally thinking of 4, now I think we're down to 2 or 3, pregnancy has been no fun for Mrs. 19nazzy. If it goes boy/girl or girl/boy, I think we would strongly consider stopping at that point.

My wife is 6 months with our second and pregnancy sucks and it's stressful as hell. It's actually way easier once they shit the buggers out.

I think the part most couples aren't prepared for isn't the having a child, but making a child. It's not talked about a lot by guys but be prepared for the fact it rarely goes as smoothly as you expect.

Congrats aptar.

I learned a lot of stuff that I had no clue about, I'll just say I'm glad I'm a guy. My wife also got hit really bad by "morning" sickness, which lasted basically the entire first trimester. She could rarely eat or even drink water without being sick.

Trick question, it's twins and Dank and Hank each fathered one.

I don't know the exact details but somehow vbulletin's records or our receipt was lost years ago and there went the updates since we lost access to them. The site was running on 4-5 year old code and an old operating system while the people who took care of this site spent lots of hours and time maintaining it. Something happened a few months ago where the registration code was deleted along with some other files. The DB corrupted somehow a few weeks ago and once that happened the old site went up in flames.

We're building the site on free software so the only cost that goes into this site is purely the hosting fees. A few of the previous people who graciously maintained the site have burned out and/or just don't have the time anymore to rebuild the old site from scratch so here we are.

This is where we are. Hopefully you guys stay patient with us as we spend our free time slowly getting this site back to a better state.

Y'all should check out the Real Good Show podcast from Tripwyre, @boring_as_heck and some Leafs fan whose opinions are invalid. Episode 1 talked about murdering Sbisa and episode 2 torches the the latest moves, so it's pretty cathartic.

Thanks bud. I'm pretty proud of the show and we really love doing it and don't think this regime will ever stop giving us fresh comedy material. Have our first guest booked for Episode 3 this Sunday, too.

Y'all can find us on iTunes too, if you prefer. Just search Real Good Show. I'm gonna work at getting us published on Stitcher and other alternative podcast providers as soon as I'm home from vacation.

To be fair, I did say this exact thing would happen as we started talking about Norm. But hopefully you made it back to us eventually. New episode will be up tomorrow, with a lengthy discussion on the Hulk Hogan sex tape and the institutional racism of pro wrestling. Stick through that for a fucking hilarious discussion of the Pan-Am Games.

I'm sure anyone who cares already listens to the show, but I do think this week's was the funniest we've done so far. Recorded the night before the Brandon Sutter trade so there's nothing about that, but lots of Hulk Hogan / Pan-Am Games. People seem to be liking it a lot.

It's easy to say you're an X sport fan first, X team fan second when your team has been completely irrelevant to the competitive landscape of the league for over 20 years.

I will believe the Leafs aren't trash when I see it. The same garbage men come by every year to clear the place out and within hours the front lawn is full of discarded furniture, animal-ravaged garbage bags, and dogs fucking. There's no cleaning up [strike]Cloverdale[/strike] [strike]Chiliwack[/strike] Toronto.

That's the one real advantage we have over Toronto here. The relative fickleness* in Vancouver is a safety valve.

*Asterisked because Toronto is basically just as fickle, there is just a lot more corporate money. It is a myth that Leaf fans are some kind of rabid crazies -- I actually found most of them pretty reasonable and self-deprecating when I lived there. Montreal is a crazier market, in part because they don't really care about other team sports, and in part because fanship is politicized. There are also a ton of non-hockey fans in Toronto, being very culturally diverse and all.

The Leafs are still going to be trash for the next few seasons but they at least have a clear direction and a competent management team not looking for quick fixes. That's more than the Canucks can say.

Yes, but will they not be trash?

EDIT: Just to be clear, I am not arguing that the Canucks are somehow not trash. The team is on its way to dumpster fire status.

I'm in the midst of listening to episode 5 now (haven't heard the others, but will go back at least a couple), and I've definitely laughed out loud several times. Good work! (Apart from the segment on some Toronto team I was forced to skip over).

After only 5 broadcasts, how do you guys already have such a broad and outside-of-BC listenership?
