It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the loss of a long time HF member, global moderator and Canucks fan, parabola.

As his obituary states, his love for hockey was unparalleled, and through this love, he found his way to HFBoards. He touched many of our lives during his time here, his enthusiasm for life and living it the fullest also unparalleled.

Good bye, our dear friend. You were much too young to die.

Ah, shit.

I know he had spina bifida and thought it was a complication of that, but, could have just been cancer.

His final tweet was an announcement in late July that he had been diagnosed with EBV lymphoma. We had our disagreements over the years as any nerds on the internet do, but fuck, this really bums me out. He was a good dude.

shitty because lymphoma generally has a pretty good survival rate. must've been a complicated one.

dear tripwyre i nominate this as bowie horvat post of the week

http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showp ... tcount=186
I cant believe people would judge lucic on the handshake.

Do you people even realize he still shook his hand. He just insinuated a death threat. Thats called being a warrior on the ice. Lucic wants another period to play lel.

Iam itching for this kind of guy in our top 6 one that will play the playoffs the right damn way

Holly and her camp must feel like every team that plays the Canucks. Edmond = Benning/Willie.

yeah, edmond was out coached by winkeljackson for sure

ronda displayed shit cardio and a shitty sympathetic nervous system. no poise, no technique, nothin. embarrassing

dont really understand why holly went for that takedown though. gave me the agita

now what i really want to see is honda lose the rematch, lose to cyborg, somehow lose to tate and promptly retire

She's just never really had much turmoil, other than when Carmouche had her back and messed up her jaw. She didn't look in great shape, probably shitty camp, but cardio goes pretty quick when you adrenaline dump like that, are used to finishing in the first round and getting fed in the face.

Everyone is being a revisionist with narratives, but really her grappling is very one dimensional. Clinch, takedown, right to submission, judo style. If she actually maintained position rather than go for a low % armbar sliding off, maybe she finishes that round on the mat or even wins with an armbar or RNC set up through a methodical progression.

The Score and Gillette want to know if it's your turn to get Gillette Drafted! This year we're on the hunt for some more awesome people; we're gonna put them through the Drafted Boot Camp and see who's left standing.
