Don't you dare taunt me with the idea that Gaglardi will buy the team from the Aquilini's.

Is Hansen hurt? I watched the entire game (last 3 actually) and no that his knee wasn't doing well but haven't heard if he's the scratch.

Rodin in is definitely interesting. Wonder if they'll slot him in an actual scoring roll or if Sutter jumps back onto the Sedins wing.

When will Gaunce return to the line-up? Chaput, Megan, and Skille offer nothing short term or long term.

It amazes me how much I hate the coach and management.

Sounds like some of my questions have been answered.

Sedin-Sedin-Eriksson
Burrows-Horvat-Baertschi
Granlund-Sutter-Rodin
Gaunce-Chaput-Skille

Who the fuck cares?

Markstrom? Willie? This isn't a hard decision.

I've actually tried to watch a couple games since I've been back for the holidays, and holy shit. This team is even less entertaining than the Keenan clusterfuck circa late 90s.

In a sign of how thoroughly pathetic we are, even the Edmonton fans I'm friends with in Calgary don't even mock anymore, and can feel the pain, comparing Benning's ineptitude to that of Lowe\McTavish

The Canucks claimed Reid Boucher.

I don't mind it. It's better than giving a pick up for Etem. He was a good junior/ minor league goal scorer who put up a few points last season. Plus it allows the Canucks to send someone down to the Comets, who are struggling hard.

This is where I'm at as well. Probably means Gaunce is going to the AHL which is a shame. He has no offence but is such a solid 4th liner.

If the Canucks actually played Rodin and Boucher I might tune in. Of course they won't because Megna and Chaput are Willie's new favorite sons.

I don't think I've watched more than a period since like November.

Boucher may have a hip flexor and probably won't be any good until he has offseason surgery.

This season has sucked for so many reasons but I'm beginning to feel that Willie is reason #1. Why must he throw the same god damn lineup out there game after game after game. Can we not try something different? Can we not have a look at Horvat, our leading scorer, on the first PP unit? Our PP is dead last in the NHL; would it kill us to give it a shot? Can we not give an actual chance to Rodin and now Boucher? Why do we need to trot Megna, Chaput and Skille out there every. Single. God. Damn. Game. It's not only futile but just incredibly boring. The guy is the least flexible coach I can ever recall seeing in pro sports. Remember when Sbisa-Bieksa was getting torn to shreds every game and he just kept throwing them out there for 18 minutes per night, right into the playoffs? It's just ... God damn it man. Make an adjustment.

Are all these January 2017 new users defending management on HF genuinely paid shills, PR China style? I can't realistically see even our team doing that, honestly, and yet it's weird how it happens in waves.

Yeah.

The mods over there have done a good job recently banning a few persistent trolls. I think "GranGod" is most likely iloveloov who was just banned recently.

Apparently Willie D made some comment after the game that Reid Boucher has no chance of getting into a game. Not that I think he's the answer or anything, but it's pretty sad that he can't even get a look considering how much icetime we are wasting on utter crap like Megna, Chaput, Skille and Granlund.

Aka the guy who thinks Virtanen is obese and once Virtanen losses some weight his hockey sense will improve. Because obese people have lower IQs.

So I was thinking about Virtanen just now and decided to enter his weight and height into a health calculator and it turns out he was actually obese and still might be borderline obese. This has direct implications on his hockey IQ because cognitive function is believed to be negatively impacted by obesity.

This means we can reasonably expect Virtanen's hockey IQ to increase as he loses body fat over the next few years, perhaps even significantly. I'm now back to being very excited about this player.

I'm going to probably try to forget about this season as much as possible, but Henrik scoring on Luongo for his 1,000th point and then Lou skating over to congratulate him was pretty cool.

I was in a pub and part way through the game they changed the only tv that had the canucks to college basketball. This was like a few blocks from where they were literally playing.

24. Vancouver begins a six-game road trip Tuesday in Nashville that could determine their season. It also indicates how much the organizational philosophy has shifted from Mike Gillis to Trevor Linden. Under Gillis, the Canucks would always try to go East-to-West on a long swing across the continent. This one will go from the Central time zone to the East and back to the Central. Vancouver travels from Columbus Thursday night to Boston Saturday at 10 a.m. PT to Buffalo Sunday night.

That morning game is one I remember Gillis would always fight against, especially if it was back-to-back. Last month, they played one standalone game in the Eastern time zone, a 5-4 shootout loss to Philadelphia. The change is really interesting to me, especially considering how much money and effort the organization put into it.

Nice to see the team not care about this anymore.

If Jim wants to keep throwing up fat pitches, I'll keep swinging.

In all seriousness, hilariously the "new" principal defender of management on HFB, one not-to-be-named overworked starting goaltender, inadvertently kind of spoiled a gag that's coming up in this week's issue. :paranoid:

Also somewhat relatedly, without further details at this time, I might have, uh, received an offer related to my strip.
