Back In Court

Post #1 by chicpea » Sat Jun 23, 2018 3:55 pm

I am not going back to court because I have never been to court myself other than as a witness in several high-profile shoplifting trials which I do not care to speak about here but will say my father did not steal my grad dance outfit from Dapper Dan and then proceed to Suzy Sheer to also steal an outfit for my date and her mother, who was in the hospital with pimples.

That aside, some other people are indeed back in court. That's correct. Canada's own Jummy Smits and Sin-theea Dale are filing proceedings on your eyes. It's go time.

Back in court: Street Legal reboot in the works

Over 20 years after it ended, a reboot of the Canadian courtroom drama Street Legal is on the horizon.

The CBC tells The Canadian Press it is in development on six new episodes of the series with Bernie Zukerman, president of Indian Grove Productions.

The public broadcaster says original cast member Cynthia Dale is attached. It adds that "no further details are confirmed at this point."

I remember that almost every character was an unlikeable asshole and that the name of the receptionist was Mercedes.

Traders was a different animal altogether. Let's not kid ourselves here, buddy. Yes, it also had Sonja Smits, but there was a distinct dearth of saxophone, and that was the nail in its coffin.

I've never seen this movie, doper. Is Robert DeNiro blind? He looks blind. What a scene though. Great, booming voice. Cuss words. You name it. 10 out of 10. A homerun, easily. Those boys look so impressed. Reminded me of that film where Mork stands on a desk and reads a TS Elliot graphic novel to a bunch of teenagers who clap politely. I may have to watch it again. I'll see you later.

Sax was on its way out in the early 1990s, kept on life support almost exclusively by the Street Legal credits sequences. Mid-to-late 90s was all about synths and keyboards, like in Murder One.

Good times. Sonja Smits's imdb page deserves a better picture.

I have never been to court, accept as a trip as a cub (which is the precursor to scouting movement started by sir lord Baden Powell. I actually didn't care for it, if im going to get set up with homoerotic plot lines and end up seeing an inordinate amount of unexpected cock... Well, a young me figured I might as well be naked with people my own age so I played hockey instead. What I'm saying though is court is this thing that is supposedly part of the North American experience.... Foundational even? And here I am working on perfecting a brine receive for pork chops. I just can't understand why the thinner pork chops are tasting better, I mean if im going to make the expensive ones I might as well go full applesauce theme or use a coffee rub. Thank god I can grow my own types of onions because that really tends to pull it together, although I'm having some trouble figuring out what the difference between a leak and a green onion is vs of course a Spanish or red onion. I mean, what ties it al together? Doesn't seem above board to me. Maybe if court focused on important things like that, we wouldn't see the current crisis in politics.

Have you guys ever tried cevapi though? I mean, it's got lamb and beef and... Whoah, it goes on. I mean there's one more meat. It's basically a circumcised sausage, at least how that's I would describe it if I had to use circumcision based analogies... Unless it was a metaphor, that's what critis are for though.

Also chic, if you end up in jail I can be your pen pal. I can even write personalized erotica based on your favourite session of british parliament. Let's just stay out of the Bonar Law era. I mean, at a certain point it just becomes pointlessly easy.

They really idolized the boer war in hindsight, though I'm not sure any of the leaders knew what it was. The queen was ever present within the rampant homoeroticism, but I really liked capture the flag and got to skip out on church to play hockey anyway. Capture the flag is really within the spirit of scouting, helps them be sent off to die. Inner city kids were always the focus of Lord Powell, I'm not sure they're welcome in modern scouting. It's worth recalling jimmy carter and his role in this, particularly when you remember the Plymouth Mercury levels across central ontario.)

I’m pretty sure I’ve been in court more time than most of the lawyers on this site.

I don’t know about that, ppj. I’ve been to court twice, maybe even three times. How many have you?

And that doesn't even count the times that he represented widows and orphans.
