Sorry the 1352 was the 1146 seed. I should have mentioned. The 2009 is still on the vine and will be for a few weeks.

1301 - 1400: 19 nazis win
1401- 1500: big#d wins, gr close second

gr also wins above 1600 until i think 1800. at 1801+, pt wins.

Did you check after you changed it to pumpkin #2?

Boozer would only have 16 points, because he fails at life.

Going in a couple weeks. 17th? 19th? Maybe that's next weekend? Anyway, it's growing very slow. Maybe 4-5 pounds a day. The big thing now is keeping it alive and mainly healthy. No mice, no soft spots, no splits please.

According to local lore, Christ didn't commit any miracles while residing in Japan, but instead was just an extremely pleasant fellow to be around.

Rico, how does this year's pumpkin stack up to the last few years? (Yes, I'm too lazy to look it up).

It was a cold year as most are saying. Tough year growing on the northeast. Personally I did pretty lucky at 1463 pounds and $2000 in cash. This one is about 60th in the world right now. Last years was 1146 pounds, and the year before that low 900's.

Big#D wrote:you were pretty good, but unlucky. it was the orange pumpkin that got you. i was really starting to think he'd hit more than 1500 and it'd be all yours. i got lucky that it slowed down a bit towards the end.

i'm a bit surprised how close most people were. i was only out by 1 category in the two i missed. you were out by 1 category in one and 2 categories in another.

Well played. I finished second last year too, very disheartening. Good game though.

Rico - Early yet, but initial thoughts for next year? Three pumpkins again?

Yeah no more than three plants. Not enough time. I got lucky this year as most people will probably end the year with a pumpkin on only half their plants. I got lucky with over 3700 pounds coming out of three plants and 2500 square feet.

I'll probably grow a seed from my 1463. I didn't plant a good seed that I received last fall from a 1700 pound fruit this year, so I'll probably plant it next year. As well as I'd like to get a seed from a 1985 pounder grown in california this season, to grow nest year. I like the cross a lot. Good parents.
