For my final act I will spend Friday surfing at Lawrencetown Beach. I will be sure to bid farewell to HockeyBroads.com shortly before Fiona delivers me to eternal paradise. : )
Send him to the AHL and tell him: "This is your team now. You have three years to win a championship or at least seriously push for it".

Why would people stand on a shoreline with a category 4 hurricane heading towards them?

On stream this guy climbed around the fence, tried to unlock for his friends but couldn't, then ran further down the pier and jumped in as his friends ran away.

Yeah. It feels less cold today for sure, which surprised me. But the roads down here are an absolute mess. Seemed fine when I went to bed.

Apparently the main highways south of the city here have been closed by a 100+ vehicle and a 50+ vehicle pile up. I have been home all day because I am not going anywhere in this shit.

Re: The weather thread
Well, I threw my lower back out shovelling hard slush at the end of my driveway. I just felt my lower back give.
Then my furnace went out for no apparent reason. Then the plow came by and left a wall I figured I can just back over even as it freezes over.
Fortunately the HVAC guy came in less than 20 minutes and fixed the furnace, and his truck crushed the wall of snow the plow left.
What a day.

Re: The weather thread
Can't say I've suffered as much as FH, but it's been a miserable week. On top of the foot and a half of powder (surprising dry snow for once) on Tuesday, we got bitterly cold flurries the next two days and then another 10-15 cm last night.
I was out to get supplies (drugs, beers, smokes, coffee) this morning and it felt like most people in the city had just given up entirely.
I took a long nap this afternoon, and during that time, the temperature rose at least 10 degrees to +3º C and it is now raining a lot. Looks really gross out there with snow getting hammered by goopy showers. On top of this, we now have a rainfall warning until tomorrow morning with up to 60 cm coming. This will presumably freeze overnight, making roads absolutely treacherous on Christmas Eve.
At leasrt I'm not freezing any longer. My brother is still dealing with -50º C I think. Too cold to play hockey on the outdoor rinks he says.

Re: The weather thread
Well, that was a whole lot of nothing here in Mississauga. Roads were fine, and I’ll let the warmer temperatures late next week take care of the little bit of snow that did fall. Snow belt areas got hit bad though and high winds suck.
