Are you ruling out amputation because you don't want to be associated with Oscar Pistorius?

You'll never run the 100meter dash in under 30 seconds ever again without surgery mon ami.

That said pick your doctor wisely. You don't want to end up with an arm for a leg and a leg for an arm.

It's too bad all the people that could really run the Habs are busy doing talk radio, writing blogs or posting on message boards.

Drinking beer while on crutches is a chore, I stupidly poured a pint in the kitchen and now have no way to get to the couch...might have to wake one of my kids.

So after the consult, I was presented with the option to operate or not and let it heal naturally. Basically, the options are equivalent, operating is slightly quicker, but a risk of infection.

Went with the non operative. The doctor also said he'd recommend to my insurance company that I was safe to drive. So I hope that works out.

Not sure, depends on the driving thing...and if work even wants me there as I wouldn't be able to wear steel toes, and it's not a crutches friendly facility.

Lol its a real doctor...

Basically the key to rehab is getting good blood circulation to the injured area. So they take your blood, spin it or something, and inject it where the damage is. This is what pro athletes do. Whether or not it actually works..?
