Hello. Eurovision is back. Liverpool is the host city this year. I have no idea what that entails or even means. This is because I neither understand this contest nor even vaguely understand the rules. Why is Australia in it but Canada is not? Can I submit a song? What is happening here?

They were the Eurovision! 2022 champions, to be sure. They were even offered the chance to host this year (as is The Champion's Privelge) but were unable to do so due to a misunderstanding near its eastern border .
