Oh its better than that.

First Bannon was testifying before the House Committee.
Bannon was refusing to answer anything from the transition or from his time in the white house.
Then news came out that Mueller Subpoenaed him.
Then Nunes subpoenaed him to force him to answer questions in front of the house committee that he had refused to answer all morning.

NUNES is a fucking rat. The guy just wanted to give the white house a heads up on what Bannon will be saying to Mueller.

Also Nunes still refusing to subpoena Deutschebank.

However, he has subpoenaed the Fusion GPS bank accounts.

follow the money

President Donald Trump’s lawyer used a private Delaware company to pay a former adult-film star $130,000 in return for her agreeing to not publicly discuss an alleged sexual encounter with Mr. Trump, according to corporate records and people familiar with the matter.

The lawyer, Michael Cohen, established Essential Consultants LLC, on Oct. 17, 2016, just before the 2016 presidential election, corporate documents show. Mr. Cohen, who is based in New York, then used a bank account linked to the entity to send the payment to the client-trust account of a lawyer representing the woman, Stephanie Clifford, one of the people said.

Given the apparent quality of their work, I would be flabbergasted if Trump wasn't Cohen and Cobb's sole client.

Mr. Cohen’s decision to establish the company in Delaware offered him privacy and simplicity, hallmarks of a state that has attracted more than one million business entities. Unlike some states, Delaware doesn’t require companies to publicly disclose the names of their managers. In October 2016, the month Mr. Cohen created the entity used in the deal with Ms. Clifford, Delaware officials recorded 10,574 new limited liability companies.

Mr. Cohen’s connection to Essential Consultants LLC isn’t readily apparent in online searches of Delaware companies. However, on its formation documents, which were reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, Mr. Cohen listed himself as the “authorized person” for the company, rather than hiring a lawyer or an agent to serve in that role, which some company owners do to further obscure their identities.

They gotta pay the bills in the meantime ...

That being said, there is real cost associated with a shutdown. The delay and or cancellation of planning carries costs, and, relatedly, the budgetary uncertainty (a problem with all these CRs) leads to inefficiency. One of the more compelling arguments for bipartisan support of a long term solution is to simply get off the CR circus train and allow agencies to develop plans with some degree of long term fiscal certainty.

Does This Man Know More Than Robert Mueller?
Glenn Greenwald’s war on the Russia investigation.

“When Trump becomes the starting point and ending point for how we talk about American politics, [we] don’t end up talking about the fundamental ways the American political and economic and cultural system are completely fucked for huge numbers of Americans who voted for Trump for that reason,” he says. “We don’t talk about all the ways the Democratic Party is a complete fucking disaster and a corrupt, sleazy sewer, and not an adequate alternative to this far-right movement that’s taking over American politics.”

..

“I used to be really good friends with Rachel Maddow,” he says. “And I’ve seen her devolution from this really interesting, really smart, independent thinker into this utterly scripted, intellectually dishonest, partisan hack.”

..

“My opinion of Glenn ten or 15 years ago was entirely negative,” says Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, who now heralds him as one of the “clearest thinkers” in media.

..

“Every time Trump says or does something that is xenophobic, or bigoted, or militaristic, or threatening, people always say, ‘This is not what America is about,’ ” he told the crowd in Sante Fe. “I always react to that by saying, ‘It’s not?’ ”

Rather than see Trump as a product of a rotten power structure, as Greenwald does, and the 2016 election as a wild reaction against that power structure, as Greenwald also does, it was easier for most American liberals to frame his victory as an accident. And rather than look within to eradicate the conditions that wrought Trump, it was more comforting to pin his rise on an external foe.

The Russian scandal proved ideal. “Across the political aisle, American elites are preoccupied with rejuvenating a Cold War in the name of believing that all of our problems are traceable to the Kremlin,” Greenwald argued. The notion that “Putin is not some fumbling dictator but some kind of an omnipotent mastermind,” he went on, “stems very much from this human desire to believe that when things go wrong, it can’t be our fault.”

Put another way: If you believe the 2016 election was a populist uprising against complacent elites, the Russia preoccupation can seem like an effort to ignore what Trump voters — and Sanders voters — were trying to say. Alternatively, if you believe Trump’s victory was a Russia-perpetrated fraud, normalcy is restored simply by removing him from office. Which, conveniently, is what many hope Mueller’s Russia probe will do.

The notion that Putin is an evil genius was the position the Republicans took when Obama was president with the dialogue being that the US was not tough enough with Russia.

Although Greenwald can be a bit dogmatic sometimes, American discourse can use more people like him now. They need more skepticism about their institutions than they do and the liberal conspiracy theorizing about Russia needs to be ridiculed. And they need fewer people like David Frum, who normalize and rehabilitate republican mentalities in democractic circles.

Greenwald's problem is that he is more invested in the argument than the actual politics of moving forward. It is true that the focus on Russia is taking away attention from domestically ingrained causes of human misery in the United States - racism, poverty and homelessness, economic inequality, underfunded social programs and natural disasters, among other things. And it is true that Trump is being used as a scapegoat and as a xenophobic symbol of a foreign threat, frequently compared to foreign dictators, an exotic exception to American exceptionalism rather than an embodiment of American cultural decay. Glenn wants to say all of this but doesn't want to take the next step of covering all of those issues himself. He is content to just say that we are not doing it. He loves the drama.

But his sanctimoniousness is not the real reason he is getting attacked by libs. Rather they perceive him as a threat because he is is drawing attention to the fact that Dems and anti-Trump Repubs are in cahoots and more invested in getting rid of Trump than fixing the country's problems. Dems just want the Obama years back, which should offend everyone who suffered during those years.

His problem is his ego. He quit his job as the star reporter for The Guardian to start a shitty blog. So now no one cares what he has to say because no one reads him.
