Tesla crushes earnings again. Now flirting with $1700 after hours. Cant believe this was $400 at Christmas. Truly, the market we're in. Gotta be a pull back soon eh? Too easy right now.

Is it the market or is it that the dollar is a piece of shit nowadays? I'm starting to think the latter.

Nah, I think the next area to pop are the other commodities. Once we start seeing adverts for companies wanting to buy your gold and silver ofrom your personal jewelry collection or stores start doing the same purpose opening next to walmarts we'll know it's time to start selling.

How do you like that Wheaton close PF?

Up 5.6% on really nice volume. Might think about lightening the load soon. Not sure. Kind of a nice sit and hold company though.

How high is this going PF? Wheaton is now up 41% for me. Getting a bit crazy, I don't like holding on the way down, but it just started that breakout.

Very similar breakout going on today for Franco. It's mostly gold price related, but is had busted out of the old high of $214 in May. Again all metal related, but it has room to run now as $214 had some resistance factor for sure.

http://schrts.co/rBtGtiYu

Almost exact chart to silvers Wheaton from a week and a few days back.

tough to tell, macro wise nobody wants dollars, the us continues to spend like drunken pirates which is taking the deficit to ridiculous levels. Gold and his friends are seeing the benefit. Hopefully dollar continues down further and we see a spike in the rest of the commodities. Bitcoin even got in the fun too. I think once we start seeing the robinhooders getting on board or you see the barstool guy talking gold it's time to lighten but trend is going up...?

I have some crypto exposure through an investment I have, FRMO Corp. so I hope it goes to the moon. Their theory is inflation in inevitable and they've positioned their investments as such.

They're actually big on the royalty plays that has made Uncle Rico the next owner of the ottawa senators. The biggest position in is Texas Pacific Land Trust which is essentially a royalty on the Permian basin in west texas which has made the US #1 in oil

BTAI offering 4million shares at $50. That'll drop the price.

A good time to add/buy for anyone looking to park some small amount long term. Dont invest in bios if you cant afford to lose it all. They're risky. I like BTAI long term. I'm holding a bunch now down a few points after being up a bunch two weeks ago. These things are white knuckle roller coasters, but BTAI has some upside down the pipe.

I grabbed 2 feb 2021 $105 calls for $7.30 today in BTAI. First option I've bought in a while. We'll see how these play out, always interesting to look back on. They cost $1900 CDN for the pair.

Shopify with another offering as well tonight. We'll see how that affects their price.

Shopify smokes earnings, now almost $1500 CDN. I owned it not long ago I think in the $200's? What a ride. Shoulda held. Might be back in sometime.

Right now I'm watching Goodfood, hoping to get in at the right time with a too large of a buy.

Took a 9K bath this week on the portfolio due to BTAI. Not a nice week.

Been playing around with crypto this week.. and good lord the tech has improved so much. It's so easy to send and recieve crypto through a browser extension now. Two clicks, 45 seconds later your money has been sent and recieved. And that's through good old ETH, newer protocols that should be up and running by x-mas would make those almost instant.

I bought on Coinbase.. and Quadriga before the owner strangely died in India with hundreds of millions of dollars to his name. Cremated the same day and shit.

Just finish you KYC with Coinbase... there are some good brokers in Canada but they will require a KYC as well.

I actually made a purchase yesterday. First time I've made an open market purchase of a new security, that wasn't a dividend reinvestment, since April 27 2018 (That position is up 101% since my purchase, $LBRDA). Still scaling in, only managed to get in a 1/4th of what I want the total position to be. Price ran away from me.

Uh, I only got 900 shares of Goodfood and of course it's up 10% this morning. I saw my order went though late yesterday before the close when it was listed in my holdings but I didn't see the amount of shares. My max bid must not have been high enough. Always the issue with small float companies. Tough to move in and out quick.

I was about to brag about my $5000 morning, but nope. $665. Damn I missed it. I loved the chart, and should have bought 2 days ago, that's what I'm most upset at.

They're growing really well. I think they either get bought by a bigger guy or possibly they buy out hello fresh or any other competition.

I'm legit pissed today. I waited weeks to get back in and should have paid closer attention.

If you dont need the money I'd keep holding. I think you see $10 in the near future.

Goodfood- what a close. So frustrating. Up 14.5% today, closes at high of day, on enormous volume at $8.54.

It will be $10 by Friday. Damnit.

I have to say: when you order from the kids menu, there is no special sauce. In fact, they put all the toppings on top of the fries in case your child hates toppings. I like toppings. So I had to spend about two minutes just restructuring the burger. And then there was no sauce. It was very dry to be honest.

That is not something that is popular here. That said, there have been a few times I have opened my take-out box to find one or two fries melted into my cheeseburger. To be honest, it just made me unbelievably sad - to such a point I not only couldn't eat my meal but had to immediately have a nap.

But that is neither here nor thither. I want to hear more about Rico's stocks. It's a very exciting run he's on, isn't it?

Building a house right now PF. You cant even get a lot of lumber right now. It's insane. Gouging going on.

I locked in an order of 1/2" plywood in april at $19.60 a sheet. Same stuff right now, $35.75....if you can even get it. So lucky to have most of the lumber now.

I assumed it was because of men down at plants and mills during the covid, however the housing market is wild around here. Everyone sitting at home looking at their houses decided to fix them up, renovate or sell and buy another one. So many city folks bailing out of the city and buying anything around here. Houses used to sit for 6 months and expire with an agent. Now theres a dozen showings first weekend and multiple offers.

revenue just means sales. So money you get from selling a product. It's the starting point of an income statement, you take your sales and subtract your costs to arrive at what your income/profit is.

revenue and sales are not the same thing. :shakeshead:

they often are equal to one another, but they are not the same. revenue is an accounting term for the portion of sales recognized in income during the year. sales are an operations measurement, measuring the output of goods delivered to customers.
