My wife and I have visited Tunisia (late 2010) Turkey 2013), France (2014) and England (2016) together. We've left each place reeling.

I was there when the German capital was just coming into its own and was mostly under construction. I enjoyed Munich, but was only ever there briefly and mostly to drink and eat.

Frankfurt is a place to work and mostly not worth visiting.

There are a bunch of cities that are worth a day trip to see the architecture.

I spent most of my time seeing these places in the evening after a full day of work, so I was never really concerned with touristy type places. I mostly wanted a place to eat and drink, and then walked around to look at the city centre.

I didn't like Tunisians and Tunisians didn't seem to like me.

My wife and I found Tunisians to be among the nicest people.

But of course we're not assholes like you and your wife.

I really enjoyed Tunisia as well. I went over a long weekend (4 or 5 days) when I was living in Vienna. I didn't care for haggling in the market, but the place, people, and food were all good.

I wasn't with my wife. I was with a loudmouth obnoxious american buddy. That may have had something to do with it.

I think it was pretty obvious that the coup in Turkey was going to spill over to relations between the Turkish population and the rest of the German population.

This is one of the few things you've said that really wasn't all that suspicious.

Knives and axes are alot less dangerous than guns and trucks it seems. Looks like the only person killed was the assailant.

1577 University deans and rectors (were) ordered to resign by Turkey’s High Education Board, according to state broadcaster TRT. Mr. Erdogan clashed with academics earlier this year when more than 1,000 of them signed a petition criticizing the government’s handling of the long-running battle with Kurdish separatists
