relatedly, I had to beat up some young punk in beer league for hitting our goalie. didnt like the shot I gave him initally so got him again in the 3rd period with a vicious cross check between the pants and shoulder pads. Then i yelled at him when he was picking himself off the ice. the goalie bought be beer after the game.

Turns out the quality of the above video is that of a pile of dog shit, but that's okay because if I felt like it I could fire up a 4K video of Riley Reid getting her beautiful little arsehole turned inside out by Mr. Marcus.

One must take the meh-ish with the good these days. : )

I always say Orr was the best player I'd ever seen. There's no way to gauge really, Gretzky in terms of being productive, Lemieux because when right, he could do everything Gretzky did with power, but Orr at his best didn't require anyone else on the ice to do a fucking thing other than get out of the way. I say that, but when I look at old video, usually to see the CH eliminate the Orr led Bruins, Orr wasn't perfect in his own end. He could be beat. Fwiw, my old man worshipped Beliveau , The Rocket and Doug Harvey, but said the Lemieux was the best player he ever saw.

Lemieux is the best I've seen since 1988. Can't judge before.

Then Gretz.

The Jagr, Crosby, Ovechkin, Lidstrom, etc. Good. But still not as good

Was Jagr more dynamic with the puck? I've never got to see Mario at his best on a consistent basis, but Jags would give me heart attacks every time he had puck possession. Especially along the boards, it was like he could get out of any scenario.

Very talented.

But Mario made the other skaters on his team on the ice look like elite players. Like Gretzky. AND had the shot, stick handling, and possession.

The answer is Mike Bossy. If he had played the same number of games as Gretzky or Orr or Lemieux or Ovechkin or anyone else in the top 50, he would have more goals than them.

Best pure goal scorer ever.
