Well, he's not your standard douchebag, but he is a douchebag nonetheless. Mind you, he's had a pretty rough life and I really looked up to him when I was growing up.

I'll never forget the first year when he got called up to Calgary in the playoffs. He really had an instant impact. Our entire town was proud and thrilled. At the time, he played on the warriors (for about three years?) with Mike Keane (captain), Lyle Odelein, and Kelly Buchberger, who once lifted me right off the ground and threw me into a snow bank for hacking his shins during street hockey.

I went to A LOT of their games as my team sold the game programs in the audience to raise money for our travels.

Incidentally, that was also the same time that the Swift Current Broncos bus tragedy occurred. I think they may have even been travelling to Moose Jaw at the time. Graham James was the coach. Burnaby Joe Sakic was also on that bus I think as was Sheldon Keefe. Also incidentally, Lyle Odelein's brother Selmar was a star on the Regina Pats at the time. He never went anywhere though.

Thoughts and prayers are with the O family following Tone’s passing.

This Chicago abuse story has just gone up a couple notches I'd wager.

Single 3”x3.5” jersey ads coming in 2022-2023. It is impressive we made it this far without them, but you have to figure now the gate is open the jerseys and ice surface will be a cluttered mess in no time. : (

Jesus H Murphy Christ. Jimmy Hayes is dead at 31. Fucked up. Sounds like suicide. Very sad.

And not to overshadow that, but just reading now that after this season, the coyote have no rink. Susf. Wtf are they going to do? Move to Hamilton?

Great job, Gary.

And not to overshadow that, but Chicago just did a promo vid with all the sweaters for their new fellers but spelled Fleury's name wrong. Guess they are not familiar with French letter conventions.

Elliotte writes tonight that the NHL and NHLPA have agreed that for the following season, non-vaxxed players will not only be automatically suspended, but docked with one day's pay for each day they are ineligible to participate in team activities due to state/provincial/national laws.

Provocative.

Rocky Thompson out as SJS assistant coach because a medical exemption prevents him from being vaccinated. Curious.
