Yup. I was expecting more racism and less "oh kids these days got no respect for nothing".

Poor Don was especially incoherent tonight. Too bad since he was obviously so passionate about what he was trying to talk about.

Understanding him has really become an art form.

Grapes got soft. Should've said we need to nuke those sons of bitches in Syria and Iraq. I need to find a youtube of him and Ronny Mac going at it over Iraq. Must see TV.

It's a little bit morbid, I know - and for that I am sorry - but what motto or phrase do you think will be on his gravestone when he passes away one day (hopefully not for many years)?

"Go To The Net"
"Keep Your Stick On The Ice"
"A Good Canadian Boy"
"See?! Just Like I Told Ya!"

I met his son at a funeral many years ago. Maybe 15 years, my wife's Uncle had died. Her cousin had been a good hockey player and was a friend of Cherry's brother who was still scouting at the time. Anyways, we shook hands, I either said hello or nodded, I have no set greeting and generally try and meet what the situation calls for. He probably did the same. That's about all I remember. I assume that there were egg sandwiches afterwards.

My wife's cousin, her cousin's husband actually, went on an exhibition tour with the Toronto Marlboros in the early 60's, through the Soviet Union. He mentioned people trying to buy their blue jeans from them.
