the inconsistency in your team names/short forms is disgraceful. how are we expected to trust anything that comes out of this thread?

also: the only prediction that is required in this thread is that a team in the stacked sector 2 will get screwed over from being in such an awesome sector playing against other awesome teams instead of dominating another sector completely.

Also, let's keep this thread about Galchenyuk's on-ice performance, development and value and NOT bring in his personal life or race.

I don't think sector 2 is particularly better than 3 or 4. 3 is the strongest in the league.

Sector 3 can be strong but might be on the decline. Chi, Min & StL might be in a bit of decline now. Dallas and Nashville are at their peaks or thereabouts. I think Peg is really interesting and about to be a top 3/4 team out west. If Sector 3 is the strongest sector this year it won't repeat thereafter.

I forecast that this thread, much like the other threads with polls made by a certain Sens Broad will be a complete flop. Mostly because the poorly thought out poll choices.

But in this case just because it was poorly thought out.

In a bid to change the narrative from his pending deposition, Donald Trump attends the Sharks/Caps game and throws a banana on the ice.

The Jets look so good on paper to me. A bit green, but good. If the goaltending somehow figures itself out they could be a very competitive club.

Although it's become conventional wisdom that the Oilers are top team, I don't much like their roster - McDavid aside. How good can they be when Yamamoto was able to crack a scoring line? And is Klefbom going to excel as their powerplay QB? Not buying it.

I wonder if we will see more powerplays this season. If so I think the Leafs could do a lot of damage. So much young talent at forward.

I love sectors too, booxer. And I think we'll see some winners this year - notably, the TB Light in Sector One. Sector Too is much a gambler's denizen, and I will abstain from opines. I will say, though, I smell the musky scent of a bounce for the Breaking Windy City in the centre of the third sector. And to cap it off before my nap, I will part ways with my art friend, Herr Doktor, and stamp my name upon the crinkly paper that has Edmonton champions of the Sectore IV, regardless of his Klefbom anxieties.

EDM, ANA, SJ | NSH, DAL, CHI | STL, MIN
TB, MTL, TOR | PIT, CBJ, WAS | NYR, OTT

With an HM for Winnipeg, who would be very good if they had competent goaltending.

The NHL's year gets off to an unbalanced start thanks to a conflicting Mars-Saturn square in the middle of October. Mars is one of the powerful, forceful planets that guides the NHL, and getting into it with controlled Saturn causes some turbulence. The NHL wants nothing more than to drive ahead at full speed, but there's also something urging the NHL to keep the NHL's foot on the brake. The NHL won't get far with these conflicting signals in the NHL's head, so try to be patient as the NHL navigates through the frustration.

The NHL's intuition takes over at the end of January during the Mars-Neptune trine, when the NHL gets permission to relax and let the NHL's inner voice guide the NHL through the season's difficult terrain. The NHL also has a natural sense of sympathy now, and is helpful to others who may need some gentle guidance. It isn't easy to take on other people's problems, but the NHL is good at it. The NHL should just remember not to get so entangled that the NHL loses itself and/or forgets what's important to the NHL.

Late May brings the Sun into the NHL's sign, and the depth of the NHL's emotions intensifies. Jealousy and obsession are always possibilities, but the NHL also has an abundance of willpower and confidence that help see the NHL through most of the season's crisis situations. The Stanley Cup Finals can be tricky to navigate, so the NHL should tread lightly and rely on the NHL's considerable emotional strength to see the NHL through.
