Psycho Papa Joe wrote:I was telling my NE Pats friend last week that IMO, NE would lose one game this this season, including playoffs. He agreed and said it would be good to get it out of the way now, rather than in the playoffs. Apparantly the injury isn't as bad as it looked and I'm guessing he'll be ready for the playoffs.

I'm definitely OK with a loss, it does have the feeling of a "get it out of the way now" loss... even if those fucking injuries are taking their toll.

As for Gronk, it sucks. It fucking sucks. I mean, the Broncos have been aiming their hits low on him all night long. I don't think the hit was dirty pe se, but goddamn... I hate those fucking hits.

Keep in mind that the first reports on Dion Lewis knee injury were also that it didn't look that bad... with the results we know.

Reports are now saying it'd be surprising if Gronk misses more than one game. Fingers still crossed.

At this point I'd only rather they use him to keep him in game shape for the playoffs. Pats might be in decent shape once it rolls around, hopefully they'll get a bye to give everyone the max amount of time needed to get back.

Have you heard/read anything about Amendola? I mean, we have some kind of timetable for Edelman and Lewis won't be back this year, but I've seen nothing else than "sprained knee" for Amendola, with no date..

Oh, great news... at least we'll have some kind of threat in Amendola (LaFell and Chandler are quite underwhelming so far this year).

I want Collins back, especially if Hightower is not ready to go next week.

I don't like "soon" :colbert:

Edit: And thank you very much, dear _dong

Amendola practiced, but Hightower as well, although with a brace... still good news.

Got back home the end of the first half, saw the blocked punt returned for a touchdown and now this... I think I'm probably better off switching channel, I'm jinxing the whole thing :why:

I now feel the need to point out that the "this" was the interception on the goal line returned for a TD, not the punt returned for a TD that *just* happened susf

Observations from week 13

3-8 Dallas still with a mathematical shot at the division title, LOL!
Are the Panthers for real. Can they 16-0 and win the Super Bowl?
Who would have thunk NE would only win 10 games this season.

1. I hope the Redskins lose tonight, to make things interesting in that division
2. They can go 16-0 (at least, looking at their schedule, quite doable)
3. :why:

Washington 5-7
Eagles 5-7
Giants 5-7
Dallas 4-8

LOL!

Me and a buddy were discussing this matter over beer and wings. We were of the opinion, if a division winner can't reach 8 wins, they should not be guaranteed a playoff spot. You give the spot to an additional wildcard team, provided they have a winning record (ie more than 8 wins)

And that's why I wanted the Redskins to lose.

Honestly, I agree with the no-guarantee thing, but I don't see that ever happening. Unfortunately.

I have to believe a Pats O lineman was tipping the snap count. Sometimes they find something in a guy's stance, and time their rush. I don't recall as many outside rush guys coming free. The NE tackles had no chance against Ware and Miller. They were upfield before they could move their feet.

Now if Zona can pull it off, I'm looking good.

I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really hope we<re gonna shop for a new O-line this offseason. Like, really. Really.

This said, can't wait to see the Panthers shred the Broncos to pieces.
This whole idea that we are even important is a fucking illusion. We’re just an accident left to our own devices.

I don't see how Miller was blockable yesterday. That's why I thought they knew something, he was never even offside.

Oh, don't misunderstand, the Broncos D played one helluva game yesterday. They unleashed hell over Brady, which was definitely the best way to go this season (well, once Lewis and Blount got injured). The Pats had no threat on the ground at all, so Denver knew they'd pass. And they knew they'd pass quick (Brady keeps the ball about 2 seconds before throwing). In that fashion, they did "knew" something about the Pats offense.

This said, Brady got hit 20 times... 20 freaking times. I mean, on some plays, some Broncos D players weren't even accounted for, just had a straight pass at knocking Brady out of his shoes, which they did with gusto. You can't "forget" guys like Ware and Miller. The O-line did, more than once. This O-line has been a problem for all season so I just think this is the most pressing need to fix for the Pats this offseason.
