The game-play looks amazing. Even the boats looks awesome. This is going to be mayhem. I'm actually hopeful that tactical play will take a higher priority in this.

I like watching the troll videos where they exploit the thousands of bugs in the game. Seeing 30+ people riding on a helicopter(including on top and on the tail) is a pretty terrifying sight.
Hope is the worst of all evils, for it prolongs the torment of man.

This game has so much potential to be the best FPS ever. The problem is that the netcoding (i.e., 3-D server mapping that produces real-time through-putting for each player in a linked fashion) is busted. It's not game-breaking, but it is happening just enough to be noticeable and infuriating.

Overall, I'm not mad about the whole thing. Just disappointed with EA that they pushed out a product before it was ready. I can't really tell how many of my deaths have been from being killed by the issue above. I recall one where I was hiding behind a wall after peeking out the window to spot someone. Two seconds later, I was dead -- I could see where the guy was; the exact same guy I spotted.
There are many positives though. I'm in love with how DICE built the tanks. They are fun to drive and can control the entire battlefield. I do this stuff with a tank, and it's pushing me into the Canadian leader boards already. I also like how balanced the classes are when they are working together. If you have an Assault and Engineer, they can dominate a flag very easily in Conquest mode. Recon is a bit of a hit and miss class -- those fuckers just camp on the edge of a map all game, don't spot, don't cap flags, don't do much at all. A good recon will spot everything and anything. They should be anyway.
The counterknife is fucking awesome. I don't go out of my way to knife players, but when I do, I never attack from the front. When I get the counter option, I wait for the rage inducing tears. It's great.
Another thing I have noticed, and I'm not sure if it is by design, headshots are less frequent for me. I did ~25% head shot to kill ratio in Battlefield 3, but I'm barely doing 14%. I suspect it is because the body damage is far more significant than it has ever been. Dunno if any of you have experienced the same thing. I always aim centre mass, but headshots are kill shots in Battlefield 4 too. Pretty weird IMO.

They do that with MOST of their games. To them, it's worth it to charge consumers 60$+ to have a beta in hand, so they can respect the deadline to get the game out, so they meet the financial objectives they set themselves to make their shareholders happy.
Just look at the latest NHL games, the SimCity disaster and such...
This whole idea that we are even important is a fucking illusion. We’re just an accident left to our own devices.

Considering all the fundamental flaws (namely the agent system) that have been revealed in the new Simcity engine, I don't think it is fair to blame EA's rush for a spring release for the terrible launch problems. The new Maxis team (most of which was cleared out this summer) were just incompetent developers.
With that said, Battlefield's problem are undoubtedly because EA wanted to release as close to COD as possible.

The server crashes I think will improve with say the 9th or 10th server patch, it's on # 8 already and it's already become less building-jumping-inducing. There needs to be a client side patch for bugs and issues, but it's not as terribad.
The rubber banding and server lag needs to be addressed. I honestly don't think it's the game, i've heard rumours that EA in an attempt to save money just has shitty servers.

I don't agree with that. EA has a deal with NFO. Why would NFO take a deal with EA to display a shoddy product that their own servers cannot handle?

I went into beast mode, and then realized halfway through that my team was never going to help me.
