Arrogant Bastard and IPA. Also I don't live in Toronto so it's only been available on tap once... Also the 12 pack was listed as best before May 15, so I doubt the LCBO will get me this any where close to that fresh.

DDC Moralite is phenomenal. Had one, then a Nugget Nectar, can taste hops at all in the Nectar.

Bit pricey at 12 something for 4, but worth it IMO.

Yeah. Drink those up fresh. I mean I know you know that, but drink them especially fresh.

Drink them now. All of them.

Bought some Two Hearted Ale myself this weekend. Never buying that centennial shit again. Need to get back on the red wine bandwagon soon.

A buddy of mine surprised me by doing a Great Lakes run on the weekend. So I'm drinking Robohop this week. Plus homebrew mild and porter, if I don't want something hoppy.

This weekend I'm bottling 200 L or so of cider from last fall. Most of it is funky/sour in one way or another. I'm taking home 70 of it.

Then I'm off on vacation for a bit, but when I get back I think I'll bottle up my sour/brett saisons. Good time to be a drinker chez Craig.

Got a couple bottles of Great Lakes Karma Citra for tonight. Hope they're fresh but I suspect they are since they had a full shelf of them. Haven't been drinking beer these days since hard liquor instead means I'm not hungover the next day.

Did they make more? This has been out for months...

Take your stout reduce it on the stove top to about 1/4 cup.

Add to a batch of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, with an addition 1/4 cup of oats.

Picked up a haul down in New Hampshire where I was skiing.

-Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
-Sierra Nevada IPA Mixer:
-1-Sierra Nevada Blindfold Black Ipa
-2-Sierra Nevada Golden Ipa
-3-Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye Ipa
-4-Sierra Nevada Torpedo
-Rogue 25 Integrity ale
-North Coast Old Stock Ale 2013 Cellar Reserve
-Allagash Interlude 2014
-Stone Old Guardian
-Firestone Opal Dry Hopped Saison
-Maine Zoe
-Brooklyn Black Ops

Was very impressed with the Allagash Interlude.

The North Coast was a whopping 14 % and was a great after dinner beer with complex caramel, black current and boozy sweetness.

Fuller's ESB is one of my go-to beers for when I'm not sure what mood I'm in.

I like Erdinger but I prefer Weihenstephaner.

Thomas Malthus wrote:I've been defaulting to ESB when I go out instead of the Lugtread (which I moved to after I realized that I'd been a fool for drinking Bud).

I'll still have a Lugtread after playing hockey or soccer.

Thomas Malthus wrote:If I want something lighter instead I usually order a Kronenberg Blanc (I'm totally open to suggestions for replacement) which I enjoy.

I actually don't mind the Blanc, I know Mrs_NyQuil really likes it. It's a good hot tub beer and has that hint of mango which is refreshing.

Pink Fuzz by Beyond the Pale is another mild but refreshing beer.

You can go to West Coast IPAs but they can be a bit hoppy if you're not in the mood.

Thomas Malthus wrote:I was tempted to order the Erdinger Dunkel but didn't end up tasting it.

A friend of mine swears by the Erdinger Dunkel - it's his favourite beer. He likes the Dunkel better than the regular Weiss.

Thomas Malthus wrote:I've never had Weihenstephaner before.

It's your classic German wheat - banana and cloves, crisp and clean.

It's available in the LCBO as well as on tap in some places (like Central Bierhaus).

Opened a Dec. 2012 La Trappe Isid'or. Nice strong Trappist Ale for sitting on the back deck enjoying the sunshine.

I know I've been given flack for enjoying La Trappe, but I like it especially when aged.

Having a Pit Caribou Brett Session IPA right now. Tasty with the fruity bitterness of an IPA and the funky notes of brett but the flavours seemed a bit muted. Then I noticed it's only 4.5%. Best hoppy beer under 5% I've had. But it'd be fantastic if they'd brewed it in the 7% range.

Big Rig Release the Hounds Black IPA is solid and by far the best beer I've had from Big Rig. Not the best in the style I've had but it is more hoppy than malty. I'd get it again.

Red Racer India Session Ale is by far the best lower alcohol beer I've ever had I'd take It over Detour or Naughty Neighbour or Crazy Canuck. Just a huge hop explosion from the can. If it wasn't for the thin mouthfeel you'd never know it wasn't an IPA. Highly recommended.

ISA's always leave me wanting, so red racer ISA is okay I guess.

GLB's Thrust is awesome however.

I know no one can probably get it, but I had a fantastic IPA up in Jackson, WY last week. Had it on tap twice at two different places. Pako's IPA by Snake River Brewing.
