My Dad has a 1968 E-type convertible to go along with his 2007 XK.

He drives neither of them in the winter. So he and my Mom have four cars. It's kind of ridiculous.

I admire cars but I never really got the bug to own a sports car.

I adore the eagle speedster, like Clarkson said, it's one of the most beautiful things ever made, but ~$800,000?

lol

What a noise it makes though.

I'd rather have an S2000 over a Miata me thinks.

onefatsurfer wrote:Those are fun, but I'd still prefer to own the miata. It's dirt cheap, very reliable and uses extremely cheap parts. 14 inch tires are half the price of s2k tires. I broke my differential beating the piss out of it on the street and track, and a replacement was $250 and took 3 hours to put in. If I didn't want the newer model's diff it would have been cheaper. That is insane. I also accidentally drove 10 miles at highway speed(long story, don't ask) with no transmission oil and it was fine. That is ridiculous.

But then you're the guy at the truck in the Miata. THAT guy.

I've driven every Porsche in the lineup, the Cadillac ctsv, jaguar xf, xk, xj, bmws, and a lamborgini gallardo, and I would rate only the Porsche cayman above my slightly modified miata in terms of fun to drive experience. I'd rather own the miata than the Porsche, too.

I've got a pretty good line on an Infiniti Q5.

I have a buddy who works at an Audi dealer in Montreal and they've got a pretty good deal on a 2013 with just under 2,000 kms.

I put in an offer so I guess we'll see what happens.

I just read that post and I can picture it. Nimble, lightl, low to the ground.

My favourite drive ever was a Carrera 4 but then I've never driven a Miata.

Porsche is a little over the top for a family man. The new BMW M-Series M235i looks like a fun little ride.

Meh, I'm stuck in rather large cars for at least the next 3-4 years. My C280 was great fun too for the record but those days are gone.

Once all the kids are out of car seats, I think I'll look at a nice respectable sedan. Like whatever new generation E class will come out.

Actually, it is my wife's car. So your jibe was in fact a perceptive statement.

She gets a car allowance from her firm and free parking so it was time to get something smaller and better for commuting.

God help you. When women have problems with autos, you have problems, and the Mini brand has their fair share.
