Tapas, Rioja, and Churros. Dangerous combo.

Looking at something like this for 2 to 3 weeks:

But add Porto.

Just the 2 of you?

That looks like more on the 3 week side if you want to take some time to soak in the places. I haven't been to Valencia, but have friends that have taken to renting a house there on vacation and love it (more local, laid back, authentic, etc). Toledo is a nice day trip from Madrid. Cordoba is a one site (Mesquita) day trip from Sevilla but the site is well interesting (old church within a mosque and fantastic arches). Didn't do Granada (too out of the way from our itinerary -would have ooved to have visited alhambra). Skip algarve and fatima in portugal (imho) and do Oporto and the north instead.

Ya, sans kids. I usually start my planning by looking at tour sites to find good routes, and hotels suggestions, then modify to a slower pace. This example was a 13 day whirlwind, but I figured with a few tweaks I could make it a more relaxed 18-21 day trip.

I wouldnt mind adding Gibraltar...
