I've been avoiding this trip, but Mrs. Plan has said it's time. Going on March break. Give me the details.

Chimmy, report to the habs broads pool draft thread for duty. We are about to commence our excruciatingly long and inneficient process (that for years has been the high point of the season for us).

Also, Disney kinda sucks. It’s not actively horrrible -but it’s a big theme park, so like, it’s that.

We went when my daughter was 4. Caught the tail end of the princess phase, that was the right time to go for that. First and only time I went myself. Spent 4 days there and then had booked a somewhat on the West coast for 3 days. That split worked. Neither a big fan of thr beach or theme parks, but a little of each is ok. Wife had gone quite a few times when a child and had good memories and wanted to go at least once and I did my duty. Daughter liked it of course and we have some cute pics and memories, but honestly she’s never asked about going back (and we’ve been back to florida for family events). She’s been much more hyped about the yearly trips we take. Knew of Disney Tokyo and Paris and never asked to go while we were there.

So depends on person. Never met a kid who didn’t like it. It’s not bad for parents either -it’s really well run. There’s a water park and cape canaveral for a day trip too. Depends on interests. It’s a theme park. A big, well run one. But, you definitely get the feeling “yeah, it’s a theme park”. Depends how much you like theme parks.

Edit: theme park

I was actually going to write “the highpoint and AD’s and my life” but went with the more generic description. Ha!

Also if you are going to do it, pull your kids out of school and go in September/October.

We hate Disney.

We really like Universal. We only go during off peak times but we’ve been a few times and it’s not that horrible Disney disaster experience. Stayed at the Portofina hotel last time and enjoyed that too.
