I think Keefe will do everything he can to have the Soo ready to roll, and I think their experience could win out - but that's going to depend on Dansk. I'd love to see Erie make it through though - better shopping on a roadie!
What did you think of the nominees for the major awards? Personally, I think it's ridiculous that Keefe was not one of the finalists for Coach of the Year. No coach did more with seemingly less, and got everything and more out of each of his players.
He should have for sure. I like what D.J. Smith did with Oshawa, people expected them to miss the playoffs, instead they won the East easily. Other than that, I think they were done properly. I don't like how the O goes with Most Outstanding Player instead of Most Valuable Player, it really changes the vote process. If it was MVP, it's Laughton's, since it's MOP, it's probably Brown. Kinda like Locke beating Perry in 05. Soo's goalie should get goalie of the year, period. He was awesome.
I also heard Fabbri is in for Guelph. That definitely changes my thinking and makes me lean toward Guelph. London also lost Brady Austin, so they're in some trouble and no backup goalie either if Patterson stumbles.
