MemCup

Post #1 by chicpea » Sat May 19, 2018 9:25 pm

Its the MemCup. Regina, Saskatchewan. It's on the Trans-Canada. It's an hour from Moose Jaw, who is not playing in the MemCup this year because they lost two rounds ago to another team that, you guessed it, is located on the Trans-Canada. One more town that is near Regina is called Brandon, Manitoba. It is home to CFB Shilo, where most of Canada's nuclear weapons are designed, produced, and exploded. Also there is a very fine hockey team called the Wheat Kings, which is named after legendary rocker Steve Downie from the Tragically Hip's best-selling video game by the same name.

Everyone remembers Sam Steele, the legendary Mountie who captured and beat to death Rick Lazaridis, aka, The Klondike Killer, aka, The Yukon Stabber.

Update: Brandon, Manitoba burned to the ground last night. One man, known throughout the town and even the Assiniboine River floodplain for riding on the Greyhound bus to Winnipeg when Vince Li decapitated a fellow who died, lost his internal passport and can no longer travel to other provinces.

The loss of Tyler Steenbergen has been a fatal blow to my Broncos. Poor, poor, Glennn Gawdin. He refused to take his jersey off after their final loss - rightfully so.

The Czech Ice Hockey Association, Hockey Canada and Oilers Entertainment Group agreed last year to rename the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup to the Hlinka Gretzky Cup

Nay. He is fine. He will be joining all-world class act Jon Gaudreau aka "Jonsy hockey" soon in CowTown.

Your boy had 13 points in five games, Mawm. But none in the final.

I’d been hoping for the tournament record for him, but the pats were no match.
