Goatlenders have sent pending UFA Koskinen to ebox for two 2nd round picks and a guy who is over achieving in Tampa and due for a big pay raise.

And that is how to capitalize on a 5th round pick...

It’s true. Kind of a stupid trade on my behalf but whatever. Good luck to Jarry.

Just a reminder to stay on top of your minimum games played. It's always unfortunate when someone loses their draft picks...

So the new minor league settings allow me to do different things if you're stashing ineligible minors. For now I've set it to lock all transactions until you fix. But other options for next season are:

Illegal roster
Drop player aitomatically
Lock free agent claims
Lock all transactions

The green circles are mostly gone now.

With the NHL Trade Deadline fast approaching, we will be lifting the bonus cap restriction for games starting on Monday February 18th.

Also our trade/FA claim deadline will come the week after. So final claims should be made on Sunday March 3rd. Trading will stop by game time on Monday March 4th.

Maybe edit the league setup temporarily, adjust the mins? I assume that would bring the stats back to normal.

Rule suggestion for next year: In addition to the draft pick scale for missing mins, if you don't make the mins, you don't get to participate in the lottery. Should motivate people more to meet the minimums so this work at the end doesn't take place (unless the fix is easily applied as mentioned above).

Why not just relax the mins? They hardly serve a purpose. When we switched to pts/gp for the draft the tanking problem the mins are supposed to prevent went away.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE TEAM FORMERLY KNOWN AS HS' TEAM has today (Sunday) parted company with Dallas Eakins, who leaves his position as Head Coach with immediate effect.

THE SOUTHERN UNITED STATES - THE TEAM FORMERLY KNOWN AS HS' TEAM Vice President of Hockey Operations Trevor Gretzky announced today that Dallas Eakins has been relieved of his duties as head coach, along with Assistant Coach Patrick Côté.

"We made a tough decision today and have relieved Dallas Eakins of his duties as head coach," said Gretzky. "We didn't meet expectations this season and share responsibility for that fact. After careful evaluation, we have determined that this is a necessary first step for our young team and we will seek to identify a transformative, experienced head coach with good looks to lead our team going forward. We're grateful to Dallas, Patrick and their families for their hard work and their dedication to the THE TEAM FORMERLY KNOWN AS HS' TEAM organization and we wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors."

"Sources say Dany Heatley Memorial Squad has come extremely close to signing Joel Quenneville to a 2 year $12M deal as head coach. Joel only backed out when he found that he Dany Heatley wasn't receptive to a demotion and would not stick around as an assistant coach. He felt he couldn't do that to a good friend and that is what ultimately what killed the move."

I made some very questionable moves this past season. The only ones I'm happy with now are the Skinner gamble (40 goals) and picking up Teravainen from Prodo for a first, the latter of which is balanced out by my stupidly trading Aho years ago.

Well, we need a new GM, and I am not going back fishing on reddit again, although we did land a good gm that way.

I think empee and crag need to work on the habs broads, maybe try to capitalize on some of the recent marital problems or cause some more and pick up the detritus.

I think we should consider just dissolving the team. Would be better for parity.

There purpose is to make sure people ice a team of nhlers, and not ice all prospects and wait for them to mature.

Anyhow, the penalties are as follows :

Cob missed 4 games, loses a 5th round pick
Dong missed 4 games, loses a 5th round pick
Pf77 missed 11 games, loses 3rd round pick
Lifer missed 26 games, loses his 1st round pick (which he doesn't own, so he forfeits his 2020 1st).

And you are welcome to trade but no FA or WW claims.

Meh, just drop the lower bounds by a little and this problem disappears. It's not like forcing a team to pick up random NHL scrubs actually does anything.

That's not entirely true. Picking up those scrubs off WW becomes a test of GM skill when managing cap - could force GMs to give up costly players and put them back in the Waiver pool for others. Mind you, that is likely a rare example as someone not meeting mins also likely has no/few cap issues.
