Yes, it's the rookie bonus till Nov. 1, and reapplys two week before the trade deadline, as a trade incentive.

We will go with whatever Fantrax does for this season. In the off season at our AGM we will make a final decision of this and other rules like cap retention, etc.

Cap rentention sounds like a great idea, but I don't know if Fantrax can implement that.

Can we get some clarification on when a guy needs to be placed on the active roster once being called up by the team. I've had guys come up and down within a day or two of each other but not catch it. But they didn't play a game, is it the same as IR players where if they play in a game they need to come up within a day?

If he's called up, he counts against your cap. You've got till the team plays to set it right.

I could be wrong, but I think we are implementing a Jacobellis v. Ohio ruling. We'll know it when we see it.

We decided that tightening up the minimum games played was more enforceable and amicable way to prevent tanking with minor league players.

It's in the OP:
"+21GP - 1st Round draft pick
16-20GP - 2nd Round draft pick
11-15GP - 3rd Round draft pick
6-10GP - 4th Round draft pick
1-5GP - 5th Round draft pick"

I would have made it stiffer in the off season, but my suggestion was voted down.

Of course you would make it stiffer. It hurts the teams that are weak, while benefiting the good teams with goaltending already entrenched. GG.

I still think the simplest and most fair way to deal with this is to straight up ban green flags on the NHL roster except for something like a 1-2 day window to allow time if somebody gets sent down.

That method is impartial to anyone except those who are obviously trying to tank/hoard, which is the ultimate thing we're trying to squelch with this right?

OK nevermind...

Frankly, there is no reason everyone can't make the maximums at this point. If we do anything we should further tighten up the range of acceptable game played. The green flag thing then becomes irrelevant.

How would banning green flags work? I'm by no means tanking but I need to manage having one or two up because I was projected to be over in a couple areas. And if I don't have them up, I don't get points for the day. The narrow window of GPs necessitates the ability to use green flag players.

I was in trouble with the goalie situation at the beginning but as I basically sacrificed a few guys to pick up a bunch of backups, I should make it.

Craig, I do a DB dump every day in case of tomfoolery. You can always restore to make a new test area and extract it if that's really important to you guys.

Can someone update the first post with how the draft works please. There's nothing about how the order reverts back to the standings after the first round, snake draft, etc..

Just trying to sort out how I'm planning for the next year before my pick and it would be nice if it is clear.

Yeah, I need to double check that draft order tomorrow. The first round is right...

Just to be clear there is no snake and no reverting to original standings.

The rulebook is one of my many priorities when I find the time....

The draft order looks like it's snaking to me, I have the 2nd to last pick and then the 2nd pick in the subsequent round on basically each go round.
e:
I'm picking 2nd or 14th for my own draft picks

Also, how we're basing the draft standings on FP/G going forward I think?
