You can switch from AD to me. I doubt you'll have as much fun as you'd have had with Banane though.

Can we get a few more votes, before we renew the league.

Sorry, been on a honeymoon.
1. Sure.
2. No. I think it's fine.
3. I'm more in favour of contraction + dispersal draft. (What the fuck happened to TC. Was looking forward to having him in the league).
4. Strict automatic (and increasingly harsh) punishments (for repeat offenders) for cheating/breaking rules (not by mistakenly forgetting to start two goalies; but by keeping eligible players on IR or in the minors, for example, or by having illegal rosters to plummet).
5. Yes.

So of the 8 GM's to vote, the consensus is:

1. To up to the minimum GP Requirements.

2. Keep the existing limit of 10 reserve spots.

3. No expansion this year.

4. Turf Murph.

So the next question is what should the minimum GP be set at? Currently they are 80% of max for skaters (65 GP per slot) and 65% for goalies (45 GP per slot).

Option 1: 70GP per skater (85%), 55 GP per goalie (80%)
Option 2: 74GP per skater (90%), 60 GP per goalie (85%)

Please vote one or the other.

The rule book states:

"Failure to reach the minimum GP floor in any position (C,W,D,G) results in total loss of all points for that position, distorting the official rankings. In order to avoid intentional tanking, draft picks are surrendered according to the number of games under the floor, at all positions, that your team finds itself. The depth of the shortfall determines the draft pick.
+21GP - 1st Round draft pick
16-20GP - 2nd Round draft pick
11-15GP - 3rd Round draft pick
6-10GP - 4th Round draft pick
1-5GP - 5th Round draft pick"

I think this needs to change, as the penalty isn't stiff enough.

I'd purpose:
Being short 1 to 4 GP = loss on 2nd rounder.
Being short 5 or more GP = loss of 1st round pick.
Being short 5 or more GP at multiple positions = loss of 1st and 2nd.

If pick(s) have been traded, the pick(s) of equal value will be taken in the next available year.

I don't know - that's way too hard to manage. I want to implement stiff rules for blatant tankers, and get rid of the shenanigans we saw this season, but I'm not in favour of losing picks for a couple of man games lost. That's punitive, IMO. I had an insane time trying to get enough man games for my D this year. It certainly wasn't for lack of trying.

Keep in mind, we also lock down FA pickups near the end of the season, so what if you hit a rash of injuries and can't pick anyone up? That doesn't work.

You had a hard time because you didn't allocate enough cap space to your defense, not because 75+ GP D men weren't available.

Also how do we measure blatant tanking? Where's line between tanking and playing a hunch on a young guy?

It's just way too grey, to be policing it.

So based on everyone's rosters, using these rules, not one single team would have a 1st round pick this draft.

I did it legally, but yeah what I did was a blatant tank, but what if it's not so clear, like playing a third guy over a slumping all Star, is that blatant tanking? Where do you draw the line?

If you have able bodied players and you choose to sit them as to not draw points I would say yes, that is tanking. A game here or there is understandable, but parking them long term is a clear indication of "tanking".

If you want such harsh restrictions then you have to dramatically lower the min games, IMO.

I disagree in that, a GM can manage his players how he sees fit. Case in point Bobby Ryan, when he's on, he's awesome, but he regularly slumps for long stretches, so I'll sit him in favour of another player.

I agree, that you shouldn't be allowed to play a green flag player for long stretches in a roster spot, but if you got say 10 nhl wingers earning GP, a GM choose to sit whoever he likes.

I think the old penalties are fine, but maybe we could add:

Failure to reach the minimum GP in any category prevents you from being eligible for the draft lottery
