Probably not a story I should share but I found it amusing.

One of my guys, Avs prospect goalie Ivan Zhigalov (20), has had a rough go as of late.

He played in the Q two seasons back and the O last year. Both teams were dogshit.
This year he would be an over-ager, and Kingston didn't want to use up one of their Euro spots on an overager.

He basically had no team. He went back to his home this summer in Belarus and signed a contract there. His contract, for unknown reasons was suddenly terminated by the team. Again, he had no team.

Then I heard last week that he was coming back to NA to play in the USHL, which one report listed as "one step below a pro league in Belarus", which is total bullshit. He's got a gig now with Tri-City Storm and is headed to Vegas to rep the team for the Rookie Tourney. Quite a turn of events.

Can't wait to see this guy explode and become the next Arturs Irbo.
