To Vancouver Blazers:
Martin St. Louis

To Tampa Bay Pear:
Tobias Enstrom

Enstrom is hurt for me and I have enough keeper level d-men anyways. I've decided Weber/Karlsson/Pietrangelo is enough at D and I'm going to be keeping three forwards instead. MSL will give me a pretty good shot at a repeat title, as he's elite for assists, points, and powerplay points, all of which I can gain some ground in, or at least maintain my current ground.

Enstrom will be an excellent keeper option for miles, and he wasn't going to keep MSL anyways.

Win-win. Though he did bend me over in our last trade so I don't know. Maybe MSL will get decapitated next week.

Still, it's best to do it as quickly as possible. Delays increase the chances of a trade getting missed and new changes getting made on top of mistakes.

I know I'm gonna hear it, but my team sucks. I think this will give me the opportunity to get at least one guy in the draft who could be better for longer.

Greg's rebuilding, this gives him three 1st rounders, two of which will be top 5 picks.

Unless he gets either MacKinnon or Drouin AND they meet expectations, he'll lose the trade.

Surprised he didn't nab any of your young talent.

I really don't think slap's pick will stay bottom 5.

edit: 4

I was only interested in adding Daniel as a 5th forward keeper, so pretty much any players worthy of Daniel were off the table. This deal really happened because I said "I wish I could make an offer for him, all I have are these two 1st's..."

Heh, given how my keeper lineup for next year looked for next year, I was going to wind up near the bottom anyway, I'd have to have a miracle draft to compete. By the time I had any realistic hope of competing, Daniel would have been approaching 35. I don't want to risk Daniel being on the decline and having nothing to show for it. I'm still going to wind up on the bottom of the standings, I'm sure, but at least I'll hopefully have assets to build around.

Seguin, Schenn and Landeskog weren't even a talking point, no way was Alan going to move them.

I'll agree with Greg, good self-awareness on your future and pretty good value for an asset already on the decline and approaching his mid-30s.

I actually have them pegged as less than PPG players too, but this works for me since he's not expected to be even a top three player for me over the next few years. If he was my keystone player, I'd be looking to trade him too.

Good trade for both!

Calgary should just admit they suck and rebuild too.

Don't get me wrong, I thought it was a great idea to sell off Sedin. I just thought for only picks is a huge risk.

I actually rather like WSM's approach - the draft is pretty meaningless to him and he trades all his potential for established talent.

Trade!

Rafael Diaz for Jonas Hiller

Not much to it, just giving up a goalie that I wasn't going to use otherwise, getting an option as my 8th keeper. We'll see.

Giving up a guy on the IR, for a total monopoly on Anaheim's goaltending. This way I can end up with the Ducks' starter as my final keeper no matter what happens down the stretch.

Win-win trade.

edit: also, Gerg just pointed out to me, this marks the first ever Swiss-for-Swiss trade in White Noise Keeper League history.

Ribeiro should help out in assists and ppp. Iginla should slot in whenever he has a games advantage, but I need to pay closer attention to him. Apparently there are trade rumours swirling around him but I'm not sure how legit they are.

My keeper forwards are already set with Kane, Kopitar, Neal, Benn, and Hodgson.

Yeah, he's just a good extra man to have while I keep pushing for a top 3 finish. I think he'd have to land in Pittsburgh to get a keeper spot.

Perhaps. With that putrid return I'm thinking Iginla really wanted to play in Pittsburgh. I hope he falls in love with Crosby and will take any offer to play with him.

edit: maybe Iginla really wanted to play for the Olympic team again. Easier to get in if he "already has chemistry" with Crosby.

I'm officially rooting for the Pens, as well as the Canucks. Already really liked that team and organization, and I'm a huge Iggy fan (is anyone not?).

I'd love to see them win the Cup now.
