Anyways for now I am gonna hold onto Crosby and Rask. Everyone else is available. Not to keen on trading Kane, but if the price is right he can be had. Saad will probably stay as well.

Offer sent.

So, funny story, sort of.

Back before the drafts I wanted to see if I could actually run them on my iPad, because I was going to Ireland and wasn't sure if I was bringing my laptop at that point.

Anyways, headed to the mock draft section on ESPN, and accidentally landed in a real draft lobby. Once I realized it was a real one I bailed, did a mock one, and forgot all about it.

I got the email results of the accidental draft once it was complete (it completely auto-drafted). So I went to ESPN and tried to quit or delete and basically just opted to "hide" the team and the league on the sidebar that lists your fantasy teams. Out of sight, out of mind!

Forgot all about it until a few minutes ago, when I was on the shitter and poking around in the settings on the Fantasy Hockey app for iPhone. Saw this "Team O'Sullivan" was set to Hide.

!!!

This fucking league has been in full swing the whole season. Every team has made a million trades, pickups and drops, and I've done shit all.

Naturally, I'm in 3rd.

I have no idea who any of these people are.

It's a bullshit league. They have PIMS, shots, and average time on ice as roto categories. Time on ice!

I COULD brag about my amazing 16 point night, but instead I'm going to brag about getting an email 5 hours ago asking if I want to go to the game tonight. I show up - my first ever game! - 3 FUCKING ROWS RIGHT BEHIND THE GOALIE. Huge throbbing erection all game long.

Yeah, this one's been in the works for a bit.

Rinne is off for a long time so I could use both fasth and hiller and hope one gets traded soon. Andersen was stellar while he was up so Anaheim can easily flip one of fasth/hiller.

I've wanted Giroux for a long time and couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a superstar like that while his value is a bit lower. Hard to give up Ryan who's playing with Spezza.

I'm not 100% sold on Lehronen yet for the long term, be interesting to see how this looks in a couple years. As good as all the players involved are, Giroux is the whip it out and stroke it get in this deal. Aliya gave up a haul and Kevin got a great return to win now, but man, G could get Crosby level assets if he puts together a single great week.

He's great don't get me wrong, there's just something about him that seems shaky. Maybe it's injuries I dunno. I'm really talking out of my ass here, just a total gut feel.

Still like the move from Kevin's perspective, it's bold and gutsy and huge win-now move. If I had balls I'd do similar. And I might yet if Cory doesn't start winning soon.

Landeskog for Rask??

I'm starting to worry Bobrovsky is going to sink my season.

Are we going to stick with two starters for future seasons? I like how goalie stats are diluted but top end goaltenders are super valuable now.

I like how it's shaking out, if you have two consistently good tenders you get decent averages.

I'm perplexed by mine. Schneider has me in the top quadrant of GAA and Save% yet he also has be trailing with his lack of wins.

Makes no sense. Can't even imagine what he'd be doing on a good team or if he was still in Van.

Ironically the whole point of that roster change was to dilute the value of goaltenders.

If we make any changes for next year, I want to add 1 or 2 more bench spots. It'd give us the opportunity to have a kind of in-season farm team where we could take risks, pick up potential budding stars and see if they pan out.

Is it possible to create a utility slot which could be used for a second goaltender, but also gives the option of putting in another player instead?

If another adequate starter is too hard to get, or you've built up enough of a lead in wins/shutouts late in the season, you can take the hit and try and get a boost in the scoring rotisserie categories.

I kind of like the strategics. Plus if your top starter goes down to injury maybe your entire season isn't immediately shot.

It's still all relative though. Even if someone has by far and away the best two goalies in the league the most they can be ahead of 2nd place in each category is 1 point.

If half the league has two great goalies and half doesn't, it's still relative.
