I'm a contender this year, but I need wins, BAD, and he's virtually the only "free" goaltender out there right now who's starting, winning and on a good team.

Quick could be back in a week, and that would really blow, but if he can get me a handful of wins and help me keep pace in that category it will be huge.

Definite overpayment, but you know, #boldmoves.

Not bad miles, $13 for a 2nd round pick.

Even if he only gets me 5 wins, it will be 5 wins that I wouldn't have otherwise come the end of the season. Because at this rate, I don't expect Schneider to go on a week or two week long win streak anytime soon.

Bryan Little has twice as many goals as Lundqvist has wins

I dunno, if anyone wants to do that they can feel free. I've got some pretty solid ratios but have been eating it on wins, and because of that I won't get any higher than 3rd, and even 3rd is is a miracle at this point.

This league has proven you can't be in the bottom half of any one category and win the whole enchilada, let alone be one of the worst teams in any 1 category.

Starting only one goalie or dressing none for a few weeks almost guarantees a bottom 3 finish in both wins and shutouts. Even if such a team ran the table on the other categories with an average of 12 in each they' wind up with a max of only 108 points, nowhere near good enough to win money.

I'm also eating it on wins, but that should change... at least I would hope a Lehtonen/Lundqvist duo could pull me out of 4th last.

Couldn't believe my luck though. Play Andersen, Hiller gets 3 starts, 2 wins... play Hiller next week, Andersen gets 3 starts, 3 wins, 1.5 GAA. I could have flipped a coin and done better.

Having two also gives everyone a few more ways to strategize the goalie position, including only dressing one guy. I think that's a totally legit play (not smart under most circumstances, but definitely not shady by any means).

When we had one goalie each everyone was 100% at the mercy of the two or three GMs who just happened to have to career-yearers on their rosters.

Adding a second slot means that effect is watered down, along with building in a more dynamic scoring system overall.

If someone thinks their best chance to compete is dress one guy some or most weeks then I'm all for it. If I have a compete +/- dog and don't have a viable bench replacement, I'll dress one less skater that week if I don't see the right guy on the waiver wire or--more importantly--if I don't feel like dropping someone right then and there.

Living and working in Calgary seems to have that effect. Just ask Jay Feaster.
