I think we should switch to Head To Head format for next season

I'd say it's entirely likely that TJ has not been active this year at all because he doesn't feel like the team he has at the moment is really his. I know my infamous Jay Harrison draft killed my interest in being invested at all through that season.

I know we should get rid of points if we're going to have goals and assists.

If we're going to add hits or penalty minutes, we should wait 1 more season so everyone has a bit of time to prepare.

Blocked shots gets my vote for another category.

I don't mind the idea of changing... My main goal is to make sure my work leading to building up team of youngsters from an expansion draft doesn't go to waste.

I already got decimated once when we dropped the farm teams a couple years ago

I stopped being active when it stopped making a difference. Especially after missing some injuries to goalies.

And I was updating my rosters (at least intermittently) until a month or so ago. Goalies dominate this league and my goalies suck. What does it matter which forwards I play if my goalies are in the bottom 3?

At this point I'm crashing and burning and waiting for next year. But if you're planning on kicking me out because I'm not actively tanking, I can change my strategy.

Are you in a H2H league that counts the entirety of the 8-2-2 into your season win-loss record or does winning/losing the week just give you one win/loss on your overall record?

I've been in both and strongly prefer the latter.

I've never played h2h, so if guys that do (kmad, ck, bekar) could work out the best format I'll be game.

Also, re: contracting the league - I would suggest having a fees payment date some time before the season begins. Those who don't pay, contract their team.

I changed my mind about the h2h idea. It would breathe some life into this league that is desperately needed.

I think fucking up someone's long term plan to win is worth keeping more people interested. This is more about a WN hangout than it about hockey, is it not?

I'd be okay upping the buy-in to have payouts for both regular season and playoffs. I mean, I don't think any of us are broke college students anymore right?

My only issue with the playoffs is that if you don't have a ton of playoff players you're fucked and have no chance.

Oh, I get what you mean

Worth thinking about, I'm not sold on it

Something I think we should consider: Loser bracket for the #1 overall in the next season's draft. When the playoffs start to determine the winner, start a new bracket containing the losers. The winner of the loser bracket gets the top pick.

what I mean is I'm not sold on there being separate prizes for reg season and playoffs, it should all be awarded to the winner of the playoffs

It would discourage tanking
