Nah. I'm not fond of being an early adopter of Microsoft products.

really, aren't windows 8 and 10 really just harkening back to the "window" format of 3.11. they went sideways when they started move on to the whole windows 95 thing and iterations thereof.

Windows 10 is supposedly the last Windows we'll see. They'll upgrade over it 'til the end of times.

Pretty sure Apple wouldn't have let that happen.

apple doesn't own the rights to roman numerals.

also ms has a pre-existing product using the letter x.

i'm sure it would have been a fun, but useless lawsuit though.

I can't use the letter X or the roman numeral X without getting sued by apple? Ouch. Rough IP laws out there.

The best would have been if Microsoft turfed the windows name and went with MS-X.

I was running Win10 on my computer. It was buggy as all fuck so I ended up switching back to 8.1.

Man, do I ever hate this interface developed for their tablets and phones.

This is very disappointing to hear. I've been putting off the upgrade, but really want to do so ... I have read that people like it out there, but that might have just been an early sample.

Unless you are a gamer just go to Linux for your home computer. Plenty of nice GUI's out there and easy to maintain now.

I had Cisco VPN Client installed on my computer previous to the Win10 upgrade. When the upgrade was finished I had no internet and network options...

So if you have Cisco VPN Client remove it before hand.

I'm currently running Windows 7. I have a sneaking suspicion that I have some Malware on it. All scans have proven clean, but I just have a feeling. If I upgrade to 10, will it delete all that old crap out by doing an upgrade, or would I have to start from scratch with a total drive wipe and reinstall?

No way to be sure, other than do the drive wipe. If your scans come back clean, that seems excessive for a hunch.

Someone in my household pressed 'OK' when they shouldn't have, if ya get my drift. I saw what happened, and immediately shut off the computer when I discovered it and disconnected everything, but there was a 10min window of opportunity.

Well on my laptop I have a mouse but I rarely use it. The touchpad is fine for that, but on the desktop I'd never buy one of those keyboards that had a touchpad with it.

I just upgraded one of my laptops to Windows 10. Seems simple enough for a regular user to use.
