Envelope in mail

Post #1 by Ricard_Persson » Tue Aug 25, 2015 7:12 pm

years ago, an envelope in the mail showed up at my door with a CD copy of a computer program at no charge. It was sent from an unknown member of this site.

I would like to get the newest Adobe collection in the mail or via link since it's not 2007 anymore. How do I go about getting this envelope?

artie seems the most likely broad to send an envelope in the mail. i'd start there.

if that doesn't work out, the banana seems like the second most likely to send an envelope in the mail. but there's an equal chance that envelope will end up going to someone else "by accident".

your choice.

Piracy was pretty much mandatory with their ridiculous pricing for personal licenses.

I'm not justifying their pricing, just explaining their actions. I never *ahem* paid for it either although I had no clue how to use it so there's that too.

Sometimes you tech guys joke with my weaknesses, so I don't know if there really is a subscription. Is this like Highlights magazine? I had that subscription.

It was not znk that sent the package. Twas not zinc. (RIP)

But siriusly, I want the damn hard copy version. I had CS3 but she's old and tired. I use Premiere mostly, so really just need the Premiere part.

They switched over to "Adobe Cloud" after 6, which is indeed a monthly subscription. I'm pretty sure there are cracked versions of that out there anyway.

I think I have a copy of 6 kicking around somewhere. I'll try to find it at some point. I'm sure you could just go download it off ThePirateBay or whatever as well.

Anyone know what the last version of Adobe Premiere was, when you didn't need the monthly subscription to run it?

I'd have to target that one.

It was part of Adobe Creative Suite 6. I have a copy at home which I keep meaning to burn to a DVD and mail to you. I'll have to dig up a working DVD burner first, I'm sure I still have one somewhere or another.

The last thing I downloaded was from Napster, so I'm rusty with all this new fangled tech utorrent Bays, etc.

SALW mailed me CS3 which must have been in 2008, but it's tough to export easily to youtube and work with GoPro and mobile phone footage. I want to get the pumpkin drop cut up on youtube and I figure the new versions have to be easier to piece together the GoPro, Phone and also actual HD film that I shoot through a older Canon XHa1. I also struggled exporting to Youtube with the best widescreen size. It was frustrating decompressing and uploading for 10 hours only to find the aspect ratio off once it hit YT. The new programs have to be easier to work with YT.

I can probably figure out the simple download I'm sure, I'd just rather have something more stable. I'm always worried about the downloaded programs to be buggy. Nothing worse than being a couple hours into editing only to have things go sideways and crash.

I assumed I just stick it in the USB and install it or is something tricky here? I didn't look at it yet. May need to upgrade my home desktop for more jam. Not sure if I've mounted an image before.

I was more worried about the child porn assumptions from the post office people. Having a usb in a regular plain envelope addressed to "Uncle Rico" has surely made it back to the cops.

You should have letter mail coming back to you this week. I think I have your address correct but your chicken scratch didn't help. You must be a lawyer or doctor or something.

Anyway, I googled your street view. Photos are from 2007 on google which seems strange for a fancy metropolis like the big smoke. Hell, we still have film cameras around here and have stunning 2013 mapping by goog.

Anyway, I couldn't see a house under renovation with $90,000 basement bathroom, but I'm hoping it was just the old street view and I have the right address. Thanks for helping out and buy yourself a new toilet seat for your reno, on me.

It has taken some time, but after many a day and nigh, this chapter has been closed. A smashing success, and thanks to all (only one of you dickheads would help) involved.

I truly don't know how you compu people work with computers everyday. It's so hard and so many errors. I was given 17 steps to follow and that was 15 too many. I felt like a poodle on a leash, trying to swerve through the steps with fingers crossed. 40 texts and even a live voice call - I felt like an idiot. Thanks for the patience. It's so much easier working with wood products. The wood doesn't crash, doesn't need a driver, doesn't need to be cracked, it's just so much easier. Not sure how you do it. You'be be great at the wood industry.

So it's all good here. Now I just need to figure out how to get a firewire port put into the new PC I bought that doesn't have a slot or something available for the port. Don't worry I've hired a local Craig, and he's on it. Apparently firewire isn't popular anymore, but I still shoot on film so I do a few things the old fashioned way.

Almost there. Maybe. I hope.
