4K Computer monitor for normal home use and streaming sports
Do you guys have any recommendations for a 4K monitor that is at least 27" that is good for normal home computing use as well as connecting a Chromecast or Apple TV to stream sports to? My 2008 iMac HD (second one) just died and I'm not replacing it again this time. I'm just going to get a nice monitor for my Macbook Pro and/or an older Linux laptop I use as well as stream sports to it if possible like NHL Gamecenter.
Any recommendations? I don't know much about PC hardware and from my quick research I think IPS is better than TN since I'm not a gamer.

If I hear Glenn Healy mention 4k television one more time, I may throw myself off a bridge.

The Reddit people always suggested buying a Korean monitor off eBay. Majorly cheaper than buying in the US. Quality is pretty much 100% with the odd pixel or two fucked up

That's because a Korean man had sex with your tv.

I wouldn't recommend a 4K monitor without the proper hardware to support it. You'll experience slowed video / lag.

I've got a 2015 MacBook Pro with a SSD drive and 16GB of memory. I think it'll push the Dell P2715Q ‑ 27" IPS LED Monitor just fine from the reviews I've read. I'll let you know I a few days.

I thought you were responding to my gook 4k comment. Thinking I might get one for my newbuild I'm planning for the end of the year.

While I'm always pro gook 4k comments it was for the monitor. It looks amazing. It doesn't come with speakers but no big deal as I'm using Klipsch Promedia 2.1 with it.
