lol again.

there are more competitive teams out there. My friends tend to keep a core of 3-5 who could play there then a bunch of good people to get drunk with who can't play and see where the team ends up. sometimes its in a higher league, usually and more so now as we age in a low division.

You gotta look after your fantasy stats though. I led my team in penalty minutes last year, thinking I might have to cut down on that.

lol there was one season where I had to play wing or centre cause we had too many who wanted to play d, and I really don't care. Well for some reason I was putting up a lot more points than normal and decided to every game give away as many as I could to the old guy with blown knees who hadn't played all season. Took the refs about half the season to figure it out, and its not like we don't wear numbers.

A lot of people love doing the stay at home D thing, I guess because they don't have to skate?

After flaming out of junior I returned home a piece of dogshit looking to weigh his future options. In the meantime the boys asked me to come play in the "Town League". It's more than just a beer league, don't ya know. Yeah, maybe, so I stopped by to see my first "Town League" game in some time, and the first thing I see is ol' T. Langille getting drilled from behind, and a pair of fights breaking out.

Welp, see ya later! As much as I would have loved weaving in and out of those mongs and going bar down seven times a game I'm sure my ankles are grateful. Tough to find a bunch of guys who know Lord Stanley isn't on the line eh.

I have thrown 6 punches in 10 years. I'd only call one of 3 them a fight.

Just signed up to play in a beer league over the summer. First time playing competitively since playing for the club team my freshman year of college. Should be fun! I think the team that recruited me is going to be just one level above beginners so I'm lookin forward to being one of the few that can actually skate backwards.

Got thrown out of the game tonight for having 3 penalties. Worst refs ever. Couldn't even sync icing calls correctly.

The last one was a gem. I got hip checked carrying the puck out of our zone (no call), got up and stole the puck, then went to the other end missing the shot, and then absolutely crushed someone in the corner. No shits were given at the point I wasn't getting any calls.

Oh I haven't updated this in awhile. I got a 5 game suspension for fighting. Lead the league in PIMs. No worries, my boys won the league championship.

Did something new tonight fellas: got into a verbal altercation with the scorekeeper. fun times. Though it looks like the best I can do in the PIM race this season is 2nd. Apparently refs don't like hearing that they missed calls and especially dont like it when you identify yourself as a ref and tell them they made a bad call. =[
