After another coaching change, I think I'm adopting the Raiders as my new no.1; the Bills can take to the back seat until they figure their shit out.

Well at least they didn't give Wentz the McNabb treatment, got the kid some weapons in his second year.

Firing their GM half the day into FA, he wasn't at the combine this could've been dealt with a while ago. They lost Garcon, Djax and Cousins demanded a trade.

Jeffrey to Eagles. Seems like a good signing for you guys, high risk/reward depending on his PEDs.

One year deal. I'd call that 'no risk'.

It still leaves us in the same position next year though is the problem. If he does well he's going to want to get paid. I would have rather we went after Cooks but god forbid we don't have that first round draft pick with the draft being in Philly.

They have a chance for the post season now I would think if Alshon stays healthy, they played above their heads for a good part of the season but they have actual wide receivers. If Alshon stays healthy and plays great you can pay him next year, pretty sure the Eagles are projected to have 50mil in cap next year or close to it. Draft defense in the draft this year and grab a RB next year that's what I would say.

Re: Football/Smash Mouth/Boxing/Late Night DTFs Thread: No Rick Blaines Club 2
I think they're closer than people give credit. They were 5-1 when Lane Johnson played and the O-Line, therefore, made sense. They need to find credible CBs and I think RB is a position that can be filled cheap/by adding to a rotation with Sproles and Smallwood, after that, there aren't really troubling holes.
I'm curious to see what's going on with the LG and C spots. Peters and Johnson at the tackle spots is obvious, as is Brooks at RG. All three are studs (though Peters is waning a bit). But I have no idea what the eventual plan for the other two spots is with Kelce, Wisniewski, Seumalo, Barbre and Warmack all still on the roster.

if Blount gets released/not brought back by New England he could be a good back to bring in for the Eagles giving them a different look on the goal line instead of Sproles

I hope the Eagles don't touch the RB position and go after Barkley hard next year.
The last RB I rated this high was AP, clearly I should be a RB scout. Barkley=HoF

What do you guys think Blount's fantasy value with the eagles is this year? Will he be the bulk RB with goaline work?

I'd think he'd be more of a third down/specialty back. Probably similar to how Sproles has been used.

Really? I'd say he's close to the opposite of Sproles.
I'd peg him for the bulk of the goal line work, and first down/obvious running downs generally. I would not expect that he will be remotely as productive as last season though.

Re: Football/Smash Mouth/Boxing/Late Night DTFs Thread: No Rick Blaines Club 2
Yeah Blount is opposite of Sproles. With Matthews gone it seems like Blount will be the lead goal line back and Sproles the pass catching back.
How good is Smallwood? How good is PHI's O-Line?
I can keep Blount in my league for 19$ (out of 200$ budget), I think I probably will keep him at this point.

I think he's a guy who'll get what's blocked, but not much more or less.

Hard to pin the blame on him with the Eagles whole defensive line in the backfield on every snap.

No, he played like total ass. They were in position to take the lead in the 4th quarter with a FG and he threw a backfoot floater interception over the middle in the RZ.
That is the shit that kills you in this league, and he does it consistently.

not sure what Cousins was looking at on that throw.
really cant fault him for the fumble returned for a TD. the OL completely collapsed.

It did, and at that point you're in a desperate situation with the clock and the score against you. The INT when you can take the lead with a FG is unacceptable, and was just a matter of a totally crap decision. One could write it off as "shit happens," but with Cousins it is part of a trend over the last couple of seasons. He will probably come out next week and throw for 350 yards and 4 TD or something, but every single year he costs the Skins Ws with bad decisions.

Given my expertise on the subject, that's kind of what mediocre QBs do.

Re: Football/Smash Mouth/Boxing/Late Night DTFs Thread: No Rick Blaines Club 2
I'm not sure if "mediocre" really encapsulates Cousins, though. He's kind of like a terrible good QB. That leaves you in the realm of mediocrity as a team (though, the Skins D has been a huge problem the last few years), but he is indisputably a key component of what has been a very good offensive team the last couple of years as well. He just does this stupid shit and costs you games.
So, that leaves the Skins in a place where they are going to just get boned no matter what. He's going to get them enough wins to be be respectable, but in the event the team around him is ever good you have no reason to believe he won't fuck that up in tight games.

finding a reliable starting QB is not easy. Ask Cleveland about that. even tho maybe the found something with Kizer.
could of been worse. you could be a Bengals fan watching Andy Dalton play QB on Sunday.

is Marvin Lewis going to be employed much longer?
seems like a good dude, but man that team seems to have too much talent on offense to score 3 FG in 2 home games to open the season.
