Re: NORM. IS. BACK.
I'm trying to like the Netflix show, but so far I don't really care for it. It's too "tight", if this makes sense. It is carefully, meticulously edited - a product that is made to mislead you into thinking like it's loose and on-the-spot.
The original Norm MacDonald series in its early Youtube days circa 2013 was really great. They did the first several episodes live, basically unedited. There were no camera angles either. Norm, Egret and the guest just sat in front of the one camera and riffed, and nothing was cut out. It was really creative and generally amazing.
Now Ted Sarandos gets his hands on Norm, pays him crazy amounts of money and completely neuters his act (and gets his hands on the old episodes, now deleted from the internet). The resulting show pales in comparison and seeing Norm gush about how great Ted is makes me sick to my stomach. Fuck Ted.
I want a jokes segment that lasts longer than 1 minute. I want Norm shitting on Adam Egret for 10 minutes before the interview. I want to see Norm do ads for shitty bbq grill companies and have fun with it.
Also Egret is all proper and suddenly has comic timing - wtf.
The good times are gone. But at least Norm got paid. Maybe he'll go back to gambling with Artie and we'll get some fun stories out of it.

Wanna bet?
I doubt Artie could hold a steady job down these days besides doing the stand up circuit. He got let go of Artie and Anthony show for continual relapses. That poor nose.

I have a feeling that Norm and Artie are no longer close. Makes no sense that Artie was never on Norm's old show. Never even called in.

Re: NORM. IS. BACK.
I honestly wouldn't blame Norm for deading their close friendship. I love Artie, he's a great dude with a big heart, but that heroin and coke has him good. It feels inevitable he's going to OD and not wake up.
I've really fallen off as far as Jim Norton goes. I thought he used to be hilarious but he's got the same old material every time. Self deprecating masturbation jokes. Really nothing more. His show on Sirius with Sam Roberts (eck) is a disaster.

Artie is usually terrible, but occasionally incredible. If you can find his first appearance on Gilbert Gottfried podcast it was gold. He made fun of Tracy Morgan's lawsuit against Wal Mart and I don't know if I've ever laughed harder.
Then they had Artie on the show again and he was bad.

Re: NORM. IS. BACK.
Which is why he was a perfect fit for Howard. He could chime in when Robin was dragging the show down and bring it back to life. I wouldn't be shocked if he was doing stupid shit in dressing rooms or showing up high to these podcasts. Sad to say he's a liability at this point.
Colin Quinn will always crack me up. He almost dies then comes back as brutal as ever. Classic Colin. There are 3 hour vids on YT of Colin trashing everyone to their face. I love that vicious Irish man.

This is one of my favs. Vos is such a dummy but in a hilarious manner. Patrice goes nuts when Chazz walks in. He knows Vos' panicking. The second video of Colin trashing him

Re: NORM. IS. BACK.
I am more inclined to listen to CQ because he talks about all the trashy places in Long Island which I know. Mike Myers originally wanted him to be Seth Green's character in Austin Powers but the dummy turned it down. He's still bitter about it. Same with the stunt he pulled in the 80s where he had a tiny cameo in Crocodile Dundee 2 but instead wrote a revised script with him as Dundee's sidekick for the entire movie. Handed it to the director and said he made a few slight changes.
The story about him having to push Jerry Seinfeld's broken down car was pretty good too.
