I feel comfy everytime I hear ROMPÉ

Daddy Yankee was mintz at the beginning, then he started doing watered down stuff like Rompé for the U.S market. I don't blame him for making that move, but his music became a bit like kids bop, where he'd take one word that sounded hard, write the hook around it and appeal to all the age groups.

His flows were still sick though. And he always wore something cool.

I started around 2002 and got sick of it by 2007.

Panama started it, but the Puerto Ricans took it to another level sonically.

That's actually good. The Rican fellas played a lot of older regaton, they said the style was know as Underground back in the days... that I liked a lot.

Anyway, Pellegrino ran out and I'm working in 8 hours.

Enjoy the coronitas for me

That's actually one of my favorite songs when it comes to production. A lot of producers have that one up their list. That was her peak in hotness too.

The dudes who produced it are 2/3 from Miike Snow too, hyper talented Swedes.

Speaking of Sweden, I truly wanted to work with Tove Lo when she came out. And I also had a thing for that woman. She's not really my type (fomn guayé), but there was something so attractive about her.

I remember being struck in awe at Muse's piano outro on "Neutron Star Collision" back in 2009, then I tried to look where that style of playing came from and I fell on Rachmaninoff's concerto. I tried to learn how to play like that, but it sounded like a fucking cluster fuck of notes being played by a 4 year old.

I wasn't familiar with his catalogue, caught the Kanye sample. So many orgasmic tidbits of music in those 70s soul records. I remember listening to this while half passed out drunk on a couch, my boy Ruff put this on and I almost cried. I wasn't even in love or in pain, it's just that this song made me emotional for some reason, maybe the alcohol... so much feeling in his interpretation.

Somewhere there's speaking
It's already coming in
Oh and it's rising at the back of your mind
You never could get it
Unless you were fed it
Now you're here and you don't know why

But under skinned knees and the skid marks
Past the places where you used to learn
You howl and listen
Listen and wait for the
Echoes of angels who won't return

He's everything you want
He's everything you need
He's everything inside of you
That you wish you could be
He says all the right things
At exactly the right time
But he means nothing to you
And you don't know why

You're waiting for someone
To put you together
You're waiting for someone to push you away
There's always another wound to discover
There's always something more you wish he'd say

He's everything you want
He's everything you need
He's everything inside of you
That you wish you could be
He says all the right things
At exactly the right time
But he means nothing to you
And you don't know why

But you'll just sit tight
And watch it unwind
It's only what you're asking for
And you'll be just fine
With all of your time
It's only what you're waiting for

Out of the island
Into the highway
Past the places where you might have turned
You never did notice
But you still hide away
The anger of angels who won't return

He's everything you want
He's everything you need
He's everything inside of you
That you wish you could be
He says all the right things
At exactly the right time
But he means nothing to you
And you don't know why

I am everything you want
I am everything you need
I am everything inside of you
That you wish you could be
I say all the right things
At exactly the right time
But I mean nothing to you and I don't know why
And I don't know why
Why...I don't know
