I like your thinking puff.

Thanks Big D.

Chickpea I run a non profit organization, literally. My two young guys drive me nuts most of the time but as long as you have over 20k a year in payroll Trudeau is stroking the cheques.

If you ever wanted to spook the market and the largest positions that people have in their index funds that people fear might be the next one to go (Facebook, Amazon).

Oh, Rico, I do not begrudge you your monies. That's what it's there for. I am particularly fortunate not to have to apply for it, and I feel especially bad for people who've lost their job. I would find that just so demoralizing (among other things).

As for your non-profit, that sounds very nice. I also work for one of those, though on a much larger scale. Good luck to you of course!

I meant I make nothing on paper. It's a non profit business if you ask my wife or accountant, but hey I'm still working out of the 08 recession.

But it does sound like you're actually doing good non profit work which I respect.

Earnings went well. I really like nvidia. Sold this off this morning and squeezed a bit more out of it. Got out at an even $30.

Still doesnt expire for 10 days but I'm not sitting on this things when they're up a lot.

Funny how much personality based these things are.

Fundamentals speak to ‘soul of an actuary’ old me and I mostly think exactly the same as he does. Still, as he said, being ‘right’ too early is the same as being wrong. Plenty of studies showing that being out because of valuations (like I tend to be) underperforms ridding things all the way up and crashing down with them and rising again.

The cosmic battle between the borings and the flashcunts continues unabated.

For some reason, I’m fine with books, but long videos I can’t find time for. Seems like a low efficiency manner to get information. Listen for an hour and you basically get a few coles notes. Dunno, maybe it’s just me.

Books also take too long. I always have a long queue of books to get to. I must read some 20-25 books a year (all non-fiction), but I’d probably need to double or triple that just to get through my queue.

There must be earlier ways to just download information into my brain. This is too slow!

You have two choices before you, Chen:

a] Human augmentation whereby external information is automatically integrated into your neural network provided you have enough memory left;
b] audio books.

A). :mumusturbation:
B) I got an audible subscription when I thought I was going to be driving to work, but then covid hit and I cancelled it. Never even listened to one. Dunno, is it quicker? Feel like the demands on attention are worse -easier to get distracted + harder to retain info if you only listen to it. Guess I’m more of a visual person.

They must be slower. I read faster in my head than a person would read out loud, plus yeah the whole distraction thing. I definitely retain better when I dedicate time to read instead of listening while I do something else.

They make sense if you have big amounts of downtime like long car rides, or you're running for an hour or something. I don't think it would speed you up though.

Yeah good move. I should have done the same. I would love to go back and do things over in that crash. Cant believe how high the djia is today since the lows.

Pretty good close on amazon today, all time high. Only thing I didnt love was not huge volume. Hilarious how the high of the day was 2500.00 right to the penny. No one wants it at 2501. I think we break 2500 tomorrow hopefully on big volume. If it does it will be at $2600 quick. At that point I may sell my 1 option. It's up 24% which is nice for a couple weeks holding. Crazy how much the options move compared to the share price. Goes both ways though as they will really drop on a pull back.
