I called Columbus, but whatever. Tampa needs powerplays to win.

I mean, congrats, but Tampa led the league in even strength scoring and they're 0-5 on the pp in the playoffs.

In a MUST WIN game for the bolts, they take a penalty in ~40 seconds.
They're now down 0-2 after 5 minutes. Hooolllly shit.

The amount of hat-wearing people in Columbus has got to be the highest per-capita. Seriously that crowd has the most hats in it I’ve ever seen.

What a bizarre playoffs. A week ago it looked like Toronto had the toughest path to the Finals in the NHL. Now they could conceivably have the highest odds if they get past BOS.

The top 3 teams in the NHL regular season are either eliminated or down in their series. Has the top 3 ever been bounced in the same first round?

The Jets won't reach their potential until they get rid of their retard coach.

Every coach in the league would kill to be able to roll four lines. The Jets have the depth to do that, but all year Maurice has kept them a three line team. All year he's been playing Roslovic and Perreault eight minutes a night while Lowry, Tanev and Copp play on the third line. Now it's gotten even worse, because Kevin Hayes has also been dumped on the fourth line. Tonight Hayes played 9:39, Roslovic 8:27 and Perreault 7:39. That's a ton of talent to just decide not to use.

Paul Maurice might be the biggest fraud in NHL history. He's been coaching for 21 years and his teams have made the playoffs seven times.

Flames get bent over on a GI call:

https://streamable.com/q76ki

The reason this goes in is because Grubauer thought Gaudreau was going the other way, so he dives for the other post. Before that he had his skate on the correct post. If he doesn't move, he's in perfect position and it doesn't go in.

When the Leafs win Sunday it will mark the first time in NHL history that the top 3 teams in the regular season go out in Round 1.

If San Jose loses to Vegas and Washington loses to Carolina, the top *6* will be out and the Leafs will be the top ranked team (if the leafs win. Lots of ifs)

That is emberassing, but kudos to the Blues for scoring early and keeping the pressure on. They never gave Winnipeg a chance and you could see how deflated they were right off the hop. Hopefully the Leafs follow suit tomorrow.

Paul Maurice:

- 21 seasons coaching in the NHL
- 7 playoff appearances
- 4 first round exits
- 3 times fired

If I were a Jets fan there wouldn't be enough chamomile tea in the world to calm me down over the thought of this guy watching over the final years of Wheeler and Buff's primes.
