In fairness, our alcohol system was much more badly broken than our education system.

If they want to save money on the education system, they could just get rid of full day kindergarten and even turf junior kindergarten. That would save a shit load of cash.

We were truly the best generation dear friends. Everything before X and everyone after Y is a fucking catastrophe.

I wonder if the carbon tax challenge is going to work? Specifically, I wonder whether the federal government has the ability to tax people only in certain provinces and not in others. I would hope that would be unconstitutional / crossing the lines of federal - provincial jurisdiction.

But then the feds could probably get around that by taxing everyone and then only rebating the provinces in which they have a plan already in place.

Maybe the Y2K bug was real and we all died in a nuclear/robo holocaust and now are just “living” in a nightmarish virtual reality?

No, wait. This was in 2012. No way a nightmarish virtual reality would contain something that cool.

did you expect that a non-divided right wasn't going to form the government after 50 years of having a conservative government? the ndp were just lucky in the last election that the wildrose stole just enough of the conservative votes, but not too much.

Its like the canadian version of texas but without the minorities.

In texas the minorities are slowly starting to raise the left so they might have a chance to win something in the next decade... but thats not gonna happen in Alberta.

If only Alberta had another jurisdiction within Canada from whom to draw inspiration for embiggening the leftist will of its minority populations.
