Personnaly i'd keep Pétri till he retires, this type of total package are rare.

I see Juulsen as a McDonagh style d man. He can skate shoot and handle the puck but his primary focus is being a hard defender. If he developes fully, he can play that style and put up 25 points or so

I remember Gainey saying after his best offensive year that he had to sacrifice too much of his game to put up numbers.

If Juulsen develops slowly, his spot could be in jeopardy as they have a few rh prospects. Guess we’ll see

I'm never really fair when I watch him, usually I see what guy does more than what he doesn't, but I tend to be harsh with Petry, always feel like he's not quite what he could be. He's been a stud this year, actually heroic in Weber's absence.

Id explore it because hes 31 and om a very team friendly contract. He could be worth a lot and the Habs are still retooling. By the time we are ready to take the step from good to great he will likely be declining and in need of a new contract. Same reasons we moved Max.

But Max was out of a contract next year, peach tree has 2 more years. They wanna make playoffs and not give paying fans the middle finger and whatnot. Any rumours of this or are we just speculating?

We are just speculating.

I wouldnt trade him cheap, but id explore it. If we get the type of package i was talking about before

Elite lhd prospect.
Nhl ready rhd, third pair quality
1st rounder

Then pull the trigger.

Yeah it might mean you dont make the playoffs this year but it would set up the team to be a contender in the near future.

I'll just leave this here

Well.... Je vais être TRÈS sérieux en disant ceci... Et l'info est confirmé par plusieurs sources donc je me permet de la publier. Le seul nom qui sort quand on parle du CH et de transactions possibles est... Carey Price.

Because, from time to time, he'll pivot left instead of right, fumble the puck when he's the lone man back on the PP, not know where to put his stick to block a shot, not know where to put his stick to block a pass, and watch admiringly as the opposing player taps the puck in the net from the side of the goal.

It hasn't been as bad recently as it was last year, or even in the first 15-20 games of the season. But is that because new coaching has helped him stabilize? Or will he revert to sporadic and perfunctory lobotomies? Maybe it's not having to play with Alzner.

He's the full package alright. Skill, size, skating and torrential brain diarrhea. Still, no one in the system can replace him right now, so unless it's in the offseason for a Pacioretty type package +... I don't see how it would help the team. Maybe in a package for Pietrangelo? But even then I'm not sure it'd be worth it all things considered with the way he's playing right now. It all depends on if they believe he's improved thanks to coaching or if he'll soon revert to his old ways.

Hey, maybe it's because the Panthers will play them in late February and the Canadiens will play them in March, but there might be something to the Los Angeles Kings having two scouts at this game at Bell Centre. It's not like there's a cluster of games in MTL/Laval coming...

Right on Mu - I can't believe some of the RDS cunts (Gaston) suggesting Bergy needs to go out an get a top 4 D and a top 6 forward (and they need to be 25/26 year old) or else he's not doing his job. That would cost us 2 roster players, 2 top prospects and 2 draft picks. What a fucking idiot.

Half a year on the reset and he's already suggesting that we fuck up the plan. Imagine this fanbase/press with a full 4-5 year scorched earth rebuild.
