Orangeball: Bron Bron goes to Los Angeles

At least it worked out for the Oilers.

Lebrons 3 worst games over the last 4 finals come with an average of 29-9-7. And people are going to blame him and point to him being 3-6 in finals. Outrageous.

It wasn’t because Jordan’s Bulls weren’t nearly as dominant as people nostalgically want to tell everyone. They were the best team but far from unbeatable.

Golden State is unbeatable. And their roster is still in tact for another year I believe. Curry and Durant are locked up. Draymond for 2. Klay for 1.

It’s also financially possible for the Warriors to trade Draymond and some depth and acquire Lebron. I don’t think that happens, but that’s how you know the salary cap is broken.

What's even dumber is that they can literally sign whoever they like for depth because the team is already good enough for players to consider taking a pay cut to get their ring and getting paid the next year instead

He's also a missed Ray Allen three and a ridiculous block away from being 1-8 in the Finals lol.

Lebron is a better player than Jordan in almost every facet of basketball. Free throw shooting is honestly the only thing MJ has him in.

Everyone says clutch blah blah. Lebron has more playoff game winning shots than anyone in history not named Robert Horry.

And Tom Brady would have 0 rings if Vinatierri sucked, McNabb wasn't a cuck, the Seahawks call any other play on the goalline and if the Falcons don't seppuku

Jordan had a pretty gosh-darn-good fadeaway jumper too. He also averaged like 3 more points a game over his career. Their career numbers and other stats are remarkably even, actually. LBJ has better boards/assist totals, Jordan better scoring. Shooting% is very similar, slight edge to LBJ, but TO/Steals gives a slight edge to Jordan. Even their PER is basically the same.

Jordan averaged 3 more points but on 3 more shots. Him being a better scorer just isn’t true. Their ability to score is about even but Lebron is absolutely more efficient.

Also Jordan didn’t have to go through anything close to what the Warriors are. I’m a huge believer in that athletes are way better now than even as recently as 20 years ago. There are guys who don’t crack rotations that would have been all stars in the 90s. There is so much more talent now than there used to be. Look no further than Olympic rosters for proof.

More efficient is pretty hard to justify, looking at the numbers. Very similar, for sure.

Career 30 point seasons:

Lebron: 2
Jordan: 8

Number of times they led the league in scoring:

Lebron: 1
Jordan: 10

If Lebron sacrificed the 2 assists and 2 rebounds per game that he’s better than Jordan, I bet those 30 point totals would look way different.

The only stat you truly need to know to quantify their impact is that Jordan left the Bulls and Scottie Pippen led them to 2 fewer wins the next season. When Lebron left Cleveland, it took Cleveland nearly 3 full seasons to equal the win total they had in Lebrons final year. That’s insane.

He should look into Toronto. Cheaper to live for him, and better than Trump land in terms of racism and violence. We'll rename the city LeBronto, he will be Prime Minister after he retires and he also will actually own 50% of the team when he retires.

But yeah, LA or HOU.

The funny thing is I don’t think this Cleveland team is as bad as they’re being made out to be. It’s just Golden State is on an entirely different level than the rest of the league. There’s 3 different guys who can go for 40 on any given night, a guy who can fill up a stat sheet, a bench of veterans who just want to win, and a coach who sits back and lets them play.

Oh yes, it's one of his favorite cities. Even if they get in the room to pitch him, that alone is huge for the franchise. He owes the Raptors that much lol.

Kind of curious why he listed the first three as using the “+###” and the rest using the “##/1”

Lebron averaged 34-10-9 in the finals and people are ripping his effort.

Boston started the “super team” shit

I also feel there’s a huge difference between Garnett and Allen joining a bad team in Boston, Bosh and Lebron joining an average team in Miami, and Durant joining a 73 win team in Golden State

I don’t have a problem with any of it. That’s the league being stupid and not amending it’s salary cap for competitive purposes.

If Lebron goes west then Boston is going to be in the finals for the next 4 years.

I doubt the Lakers would already give up on Ball so I would think they send Ingram or Randle plus a first rounder and whatever else for Leonard

Lonzo, Kuzma, George, LeBron, Kawhi and Randle/Ingram plus whatever vets they bring in could be good enough to challenge the Warriors but it would probably be like LeBron’s first year in Miami where it takes forever to get any chemistry
