Joel Osteen Forced To Wear Body Cam To Monitor Interactions With Scriptures

HOUSTON, TX—After numerous credible reports surfaced of megachurch prosperity preacher Joel Osteen “absolutely mangling” various Bible verses, a council of associate pastors at Lakewood Church voted unanimously to force the preacher to wear a body cam at all times in order to monitor his interactions with the Scriptures.

The pastor must wear the shoulder-mounted body camera throughout the day, in order to ensure that he treats all Bible verses with care, respect, and proper context.

“The camera will capture all interactions between Pastor Joel and innocent biblical texts,” a spokesperson for Lakewood Church told the press. “Should another verse come forward claiming Osteen totally ripped it out of context in order to support his health and wealth gospel, we’ll have an internal team review the footage to see if the accusation is true.”

Mostly all camera's have mics these days. Mr. Osteen would not be in good shape, either way. Don't expect to stay in his MegaChurch during a hurricane.

The tl;dr version: rovers found organic compounds in the martien soil. They could have been part/created by living of non living processes. They are in large quantities and not far below surface where there is good evidence of a primordial lake. Also (separate study also published today), methane levels in the athmosphere have been found to be « seasonal ». Which is weird. May also be made by living or non living processes.

Conclusion: ALIENS!!!!!

I don't understand why in a political science curriculum you don't have a single demographics class. It's like the most important factor of all in understanding political realities. Been reading about demographics, it's fascinating and concerning. The situation is pretty bleak globally and in particular for individual states.

Quebec's pretty much going Acadian in our lifetimes...

https://quebec.huffingtonpost.ca/michel ... 29447.html

Post-Soviet states are utterly fucked:

Russia:

The positive demographic increase that has taken place in the past three years seems unsustainable. The variety of factors contributing to a fall in birth rate in the 1990s have already been discussed in the earlier sections. The most imminent problem is that in the coming years, Russia is likely to face the consequences of its abysmal birth rate in the 1990s. Scholars refer to it as the “consequences of the demographic dip of the 1990s.”[55]The country has small populations of young people—6.5 million 5–14-year-olds and a little more than 4.5 million 15–19-year-olds. Further, young women born in the early 1990s are now entering their childbearing years. This implies that the number of women in their active childbearing years (age 20–29), who account for some 60 percent of total births nationwide, would almost halve in a decade’s time.[56] At present, the number of 15-year-olds is only half the number of 25-year-olds, which means that ten years from now the female population in this age group would be significantly less than what it is today. In 2025, Russia is projected to have just 6.4 million women in their 20s, about 45 percent fewer than today, “given that all women who will be between 20 and 29 years in 2025 are already alive.”[57] Moreover, the current total fertility rate (of 1.7) is not sufficient to offset the high mortality rate.

The same trend for every European post Soviet state, with Ukraine having the worst outcomes and basically all three Baltic states just disappearing in the current century...

All of European countries are on a similar trend but helped by better economic outcomes, so more immigration.. but will face great challenges as ethnographic charts inverse in a matter of two decades.

China and Japan are just going rekt.

I tend to agree that demographics (and a few other macro systems) play a far more important role in guiding human behaviour at a macro level than we tend to realize. It should absolutely play a greater role in poli sci analysis, me think. The problem is that it’s hard to get acurate predictions in micro systems from studying macro systems (and vice versa). So, it’s important to keep larger currents in mind, but it’s also important to stay skeptical of predictions inferred.

This is an extremely rare interview with Max Martin, the man has one of the most successful careers ever in mainstream music, he's been getting public recognition the last few years, but the man is a hermit and prefers not to show his face. I actually had the chance of meeting him on Skype many years ago as one of my close friends worked with him on one of Britney Spears' albums. He greeted me in french, and I was pretty starstruck. He was finishing Britney Spears' "Hold it Against Me" in L.A. and I actually helped find a sample that he used frequently on his old songs that made it into that song. That felt surreal for a while. Thought it was a cool anecdote to share. Anyways, here he gives insight about a few #1 hits he's been apart of throughout 20 something years.
