Based on the first 2 minutes of that video, he's already better than Markov at the same age. Reminds of a diminutive Toews.

I think we might have actually won a trade for once.

All the best, Maxwell. : ) ya fruit

Don’t like it when players like Tatar wear the jersey, but Suzuki and a pick is a nice get.
Also, let's keep this thread about Galchenyuk's on-ice performance, development and value and NOT bring in his personal life or race.

So is this better than Toffoli and Villardi or Villardi and Muzzin ? Tatar is soft offense, maybe he gets 20 again, but his 3 years is the cost of getting Suzuki, and someone has to play this year.

Vilardi i had one spot ahead of suzuki.

I think the toffoli and vilardi deal was best (even without a second). The second makes it closer though. The returns arent a huge difference.

That said if vilardi continues to have back problems. (Missed first half of last season, now is missing the start of training camp again) then we might have lucked out. My list was made before vilardis recurring back issue was known and that would have knocked him down a few pegs if i knew about it.

Close? They took all the guys with size out of the top six and replaced then you with undersized guys. Might be the smallest team in the league this year.

In the long run, soft offense doesn't win. Tatar is pure soft offense, but I'm wondering if Max hadn't become that as well, at least in perception.

So, was the day that Max was named captain, the starting point for all this ?

A lot of GM's consider Max very soft. Is perception reality???

Time will tell.

So question is: do we keep Price and Weber long term to help the youth win a cup in a quick turnaround in 2 years or do we trade Price and Weber and try to win 6 in a row from 2023 to 2029?

Suzuki to me is a boom or bust prospect. He is either going to be a top offensive player or total bust who doesn't fit on a checking line.

the kinda prospect that was missing in the org

a lot of safe picks, but nothing that was truly boom or bust.

So, was the day that Max was named captain, the starting point for all this ?
Highly doubt that Tatar is here long term. Bet they put him top 6, get another 15-20 goals out of him by the deadline and then flip him again. Someone has to score goals on this shit team.

Tatar, Byron, Shaw, Plekanec, Schlemko, Benn,

Id bet we really end up with a lot of picks in 2019 and 2020 out of moving at least 3 or 4 of those guys
