I liked the cyclades better than the main land. Athens has tonnes to see though.

Delphi is a manageable day trip, ran out of time for Olympus.

Crete was fine as well.

so if I did two days in Athens where's a good place for the third day? if there is one, might have to fly elsewhere to catch a connecting flight

If you're going to Greece, you should probably read this story, which was written by a master mind.

Looks like we had the same trip and same impressions. Where did you stay in Crete? We did Hania and Heraklion (for Knossos). Heraklion was meh, did Hania was da tits.

I second Delphi if Predo wants to do a day trip. Otherwise, somewhere in the Peloponeponessese (didn’t go to the later). Not the end of the world if you skip Delphi either, I thought.

Also Hania, then Heraklion. I agree with your assessment. Stayed in this dumpy hotel with a balcony hanging over the old port. Pretty great time, except Mrs. Plan was sick, so I spent most evenings drinking on the balcony people watching...

We then did Santorini, mykonos (Delos), Samos, esphesus, samos, then back to Athens and home.
